My wants are fairly modest. There's a little pub up the road from me, empty and falling apart. It's listed so can't be demolished, but it will never be a pub again because of the area it's in and the cost necessary to get it back up to an acceptable standard. I'd buy it, restore it to its former glory, then get it changed for residential use. Add in a few holidays, a nice car (probably second hand - I consider new cars to be a bad investment regardless of your available funds), a nice bike (new, because it's not an investment), and I'd be content.

As others have said, money can't buy happiness, but it can make misery a lot more comfortable. Also, money can buy chocolate, which is almost the same thing.

I'd pay off debt, both mine and that of my immediate family, plus my OH and his family. I'd treat my OH to a top of the range gaming PC as a thank you for all that he's put up with from me over the last few years, and I'd also look to make life comfortable for my wider family and friends.

I would invest several million in a business that is close to my heart, but unless I went back to work there I'd stay where I am now as I love my job.

My horse is disabled so I'd then look at sorting some decent facilities for him, and I guess I'd look to move out of my parents house as well.

I'd leave my wife and look for someone more appreciative of me.
