There is some unhealthy exchange going on now, but I would like to just gently remind Obells- you have joined a thread where, quite frankly, hundreds of people may have been ripped off thanks to DCM. I agree that a vigilante approach is not the answer, but it is also grossly unhelpful to come onto this thread and support a company that, for WHATEVER REASON, stands to leave us drastically out of pocket.
I agree with your comment. If you had the chance to read my posts on the other forum you will see that i for 1 am not supporting the company or its actions, i was giving a bit of background to the situation as i knew it and pointing out that the real problems lie with previous directors who seemed to have mismanaged the business not the people who stepped in late on to try to turn things round. I empathize with the people who will loose out fro0m this disgraceful episode.
oh and pompey "I appologise if I have caused any trouble that was not my intensions, Obells came on here first and attacked me for sum reason." i wasnt attacking you i was defending my integraty and pointing out that sensationalizing things helps nobody, it just fans the flames.0 -
I'm no legal expert but surely if the current directors knew there were financial problems and yet they still kept taking money in and not paying it over then you would have to worry about trading whilst insolvent?

BTW TO ANY FORMER CUSTOMERS OF DCM DO NOT PAY ANY FEES TO ANT DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY WHEN CHARITIES WILL DO THE JOB FOR FREE.
See the stickies at the top of this forumIf you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0 -
Not checked in all weekend and was saddened to see two contributors presumably not affected by the fall out from this having an argument !
Can I repeat what Grumplestiltskin says above TO ANY FORMER CUSTOMERS OF DCM DO NOT PAY ANY FEES TO ANT DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY WHEN CHARITIES WILL DO THE JOB FOR FREE.
Remember Clear Debt is a fee charging company.
If there is truth in the shredding rumour, I think we all have to start from scratch, once more.0 -
well i too am caught up in all this, all be it not as much as some of you. Has anyone spoken to creditors that have been sympathetic at all? are they aware that we have been scammed. cc and loan companies should help when things like this happen.
TBH this has made me feel like I did 7yrs ago when i went to DCM, but worse thing is now i have no idea what i owe, or if they have paid anyone my cash they have had the grand total of 21,000 from me i only owed 23,000. i hope they all come to a sticky end with our money.:mad:0 -
I spoke to clear debt today they are only after the business, why else would they buy DCM's database. They are not taking on the cases on a continuous basis so i say stay away from them.0

Hi, I was one of the suckers who went to DCM for help and then went to the ombudsman and my complaint about the company was upheld, but now the settlement claim they should've paid doesn't look like it's gonna happen. If anyone has any news on whats happening could they please post, ta.0

ChumbaChops If the company owe you money you are a creditor so contact the administrators. If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0 -
well i ran a credit report today then called all my creditors. It would appear that no payments have been made since april 2010. When i went into DCM i have £36,000 worth of debt. After speaking to all creditors i now owe £32,000 so after 7 years they only reduced it by £4000 despite all the interest being frozen when DCM took over.
Given that i have paid DCM in the region of £37,000 i should only be in debt by £2k but im in debt for £36k so wheres all my money gone then. Into DCM directors pockets im sure.
And all the time they were telling me they were making payment when they werent. This is fraud however you cut it, i do not see how anyone could defend this company the maladministration seems to have been happening all the way through the time i was with them so new directors taking over obviously were just as much scum as the previous outgoing ones!!!STILL IN PURSUIT OF THOSE RESPONSIBLE, NEVER GIVING UP. If anyone hears from the administrators please post on here so we know what is happening. I will be contacting my creditors direct, after reading on here no doubt i will be in the same place. Money paid! no debts reduced! Has anyone contacted their MP, papers or TV, or better still Martin Lewis to see if he will back it.0
