Tony the mortgage being joint won't make any difference to Connaught.

It does look as though you do have some equity, so you will have to take their threat seriously at the moment.

Get on the phone to National Debtline and explain your problem to them.
    Number is on here.

By the way- I forgot to ask- I hope you guys are ok- I'm normally quite highly strung, but I'm dealing with this well.

Robinson Way- Helpful- five week account hold.
Experto Credite- Very helpful- just get CCCS onto it.
Moorcroft- Cold, but OK. Keep them posted.
Apex Credit Management- Helpful, but wanted a small holding payment. Reasonable I suppose. Account on 4 week hold.

Triton very helpful and took interim payment equivalent to missed payment for 1 month. Will hold for 4 weeks.
Moorcroft NOT helpful and pushy but eventually decided to hold account for 4 weeks after token payment.
They said DCM had been non - communicative and payment very irratic.
Blair Oliver and Scott/Bank Of Scotland wrote to tell me that last month's cheque was returned unpaid and they have agreed to put account on hold-I paid the amount in question for the month.
Link financial helpful and willing for me to take over payments at the reduced rate.

I had an email from Moorcroft today asking me to confirm that I agree to email communications.
When I spoke to them yesteray they asked if I had an email address and would I accept them keeping in touch with me this way in order that I and they can be kept up to date with the situation.

    Firstly thankyou! Secondly Aarghh!
When I googled DCM this morning to get the address to post my letters to them as I always do this forum came up first. I was due to make my regular £800 payment in a few days so it gave me chance to cancel my standing order.
We have been with DCM for 4 years and they had in excess of £12,000 of our money in our account not yet paid out to creditors! We have called the administrators today and are waiting for a call back. We have been in touch with ClearDebt who are now suggesting an IVA.
Please continue to keep us all updated on progress and news and any advice would be most helpful

Well we ran an experian credit check and have found that DCM have not paid some of our creditors for at least 12 months and some have had the odd payment. So our £800 per month for the last 4 years appears to have gone nowhere. We also haven't received a statement from DCM for a very long time. We have no information of who now has these debts and how to contact them.
    What a nightmare!

I was one who absolutely pestered DCM over the past months each time I got a letter from a creditor -I didn't just send it in but rang and rang and I think that I am probably one of the luckier clients as they appear to have paid my bills up to February-March cheques have been returned unpaid.
I had not received a statement since January 2010 and it really gave few details, nothing about balances and account numbers.

I had requested the money from my account to repaid to me as I WAS suspicious but it never came although I was told it would be by March 1st.
I had reduced my monthly payment from £600 to £300 and the balance they owed me was only £1200 which I know is very small compared to others here but nevertheless I can ill afford to lose it.

I was signed up by John Baird in 2001and all went weel for the first 5 years but I wasn't out of the woods by then as my contract stated and I could not get the refund of management fees it had also guaranteed
  • Itoo have been with them for many years, whenever Iquestioned letters or balances they seemed to al;ways have a plausible anawer more fool me. I now have 3 charging orders and dont know if anything has been paid am contacting creditors to see what balances now are and if they will accept payment from me direct .Dont know if makes things worse or not.
Have got about 8 creditors that have not heard anything from for years and dont know who now holds those debts where can I find out any advice?
Spke with clear debt on Monday calling me back in a couple of days to discuss my situation but as yet heard nothing, but seem quite keen on me doing an IVA as I have about 70k eqity in house suppose I will now lose my home now
Dont really know what to do or where to go feels like we are going to be hung out to dry.
    Remember the dcm slogan

THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL
DIDNT REALISE IT WAS A TRAIN THOUGH !!!!!!1
Suppose only consolation is this is best diet i have ever been on lost nearly a stone in 10 days![
