I had a bit of trouble with the first one, i took it back to argos and swapped it. It has been excellent, could do with another!

The Matsui PVR in Currys gets good write up too. Also its supposed to be very quiet due to a fanless design. Anyone got one and care to comment?0

The only comment is that the manufacturer Access Devices went into administration about 6-8 weeks ago. The better dual tuner model is getting harder to come by

It's the Thomson DHD4000,it's only got a 40 gig hard drive but I haven't found that a problem, was in Argos but not widely available anymore, found 1 on Amazon marketplace http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B00067SZI6/ref=dp_olp_2/203-2255400-4635964

give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -
I've had the Thomson DHD 4000 since the summer and I wouldn't be without it - it can record 2 different channels at the same time whilst you play back a recording made beforehand; you can pause live programmes (to put the kids to bed, answer the phone etc.) and re-start once you've finished with whatever interrupted your tele-viewing, and the quality of recordings is like broadcast TV - it's brilliant. Falkirk Bairn0

Forget the Aldi rubbish
Bought a Goodmans twin tuner digibox from Asda in Accrington (far better for electricals than Blackburn) for only £90 (normal price £99.50 as I got 10% staff discount)

Great little box of tricks and I even found out on the web how to connect it the the PC and make it record two TV channels at the same time. It's the exact same box that Argos are selling under the digihome pvr80 name but with Asda you get the 28 day guarantee thingybob that's exempt at Argos
