Aldi are generally very good on their deals and get a good supply in; my local one has always had pleanty of the electrical items in, though this may depend on how poor the area is and if the locals can afford to buy the stuff or not.

I found that with the Gazebos - they sold out quickly in minutes, but When I went to an Aldi a week later which was surround by high rise flats in every direction, they had loads of Gazebos - unfortunately, they're not much use on balconies. :D
  • I had two fo the old ones, and neither of them worked, I also tried the £99 one from Argos, also went back.

I now have a B-Grade digifusion PVR 200 Model, paid £99 but saw them in Maplin the other day for £149. Although it's not as user friendly, it's the best thing I bought - works like a dream, only had one problem, but turning it on and off sorted it.

My advice, don't buy these cheap ones, pay a bit more and save on the petrol and hassle of returning them.

Is the digifusion any good? Does it have a good EPG? Would my mother be able to use it?

  • Just got one. Firmware now up to 1.7. Giving it a go but seem to be exactly the same as the previous models - which to me isnt a bad thing as i was pleased with my original one!

Just got one from the Blackburn store (over 30 left).

If it has the same problem as last years model I'll just take it back. Nothing ventured, nothing gained

I was there at 10am to get one of these (didn't want to miss out!) and they were flying out the door - 2 in 3 customers were buying one.

Plugged it in to our roof-top aerial and it picked up all the channels I'd expect it to. User-interface and remote both could have a little re-thinking, but only took me a couple of minutes to get my head round them.

    Issues so far:
    • Five and some other channels (More4, abc1) don't receive properly, keep jerking around. Despite this, the signal strength always seems to say around half, no matter what channel it's on.
    • The sound cuts-out sometimes, but putting it on standby and back on again, it clears up... less than ideal
    • Slight stutter at start of recordings (this only happened once - the first time)

I'll add more if and when they come up, but I'm very happy so far.

For god's sake people, learn some basic grammar!
THERE: "He kicked the ball over THERE". THEIR: "It was THEIR ball". THEY'RE: "THEY'RE very cross!".
YOUR:"I ate YOUR sandwich". YOU'RE: "YOU'RE stupid if you don't know the difference between these words!".
I might of known someone would say that.
