I don't think many people on this board would recommend the Aldi PVRs.

So many people bought them and took them straight back last time! Me included!

Can you connect these to a Telewest cable receiver to record cable channels? And is there any way to export the recorded video to external media?

yes you can the sky+ box and the telewest TVDrive both PVR's but I know what you mean.
  • This seems like a good deal but I have a Sky+ box that i use as a freeview receiver (dont subscribe anymore) Will I be able to hook this up to it and record?

With the comments above I'm a bit confused.

    Cheers

from what i can imagine is that you can only record from the actual box(freeview channels) i dont think its possible to use it to connect to sky and record sky channels

    am i correct?

  • a sky+ box can only record if you pay sky £10 a month or have a premium channel, if you have no contract you can not record at all, its just a standard sky box.
The freeview PVR as above will only record the tuner that is built into the box,
