Let me guess...there'll only be four of these at each branch & 1hr before Aldi open there'll be a queue outside. Then a big scrum when the shop actually opens...some big bruiser from Albania will put 3 in his basket - the underpaid & weary staff won't get involved......& all I'll leave with is a packet of dodgy 'out of date' French biscuits that I'm even not sure what the flavour is (& I didn't even want, but felt the need to buy something instead of leaving empty handed).

That's Lidl you're thinking of, and you'd be lucky if they actually got as many as four and they weren't taken by the staff.

Aldi are generally very good on their deals and get a good supply in; my local one has always had pleanty of the electrical items in, though this may depend on how poor the area is and if the locals can afford to buy the stuff or not.

Are we definate that this pvr can not record from either a scart, rgb or coaxial input that comes from a cable box? Don't really want to buy one just to test this out.

    It cannot, for sure.
  • Anyone one know if you can transfer recordings onto PC and burn to DVD with this model??

I'm sure if it had a USB to do so then it would be advertised as such.

My advice would be to buy the Humax 9200 - had last years Aldi PVR which went back because of the bugs and only being able to record one channel, a fine while it lasted Digifusion FVT200 busted, but the Humax works great (and has a USB connection).

I still have one from last december,Will not record from anything but the built in tuners.
I'm taking mine back this week for a refund and going for the Humax 9200T because my Techno still keeps changing channels when I use the volume on my TV remote.

    :rolleyes2 :naughty:

    No, it won't.

Not without removing the hard disk(voiding warranty) and installing it in a PC and running several bits of techie software.
