    Hi folks,

Just to let you know those were the official application deadline dates we were given by the banks (more info in the Top ISAs Guide). There's no guarantee the accounts will be available for the next tax year, but we will be writing about it in the weekly email and updating the guide as soon as we have the info.

    Hope that helps,

    MSE Alana

    Hi guys,

I am a Barclays customer and I have access to their online banking. I have been paying into the Golden ISA 2 over the last year and I currently have around 3,000 in there.

I have been offered a chance to open the Golden ISA 3 which has an interest rate of 3.25. However, I am not sure on what my best move would be. I understand that the Golden ISA 3 does not accept transfers and that is fine, but what should I do with the money in my old ISA?

I was thinking that I should open the Golden ISA 3 and then pay into this, but as the interest rate of my Golden ISA 2 will probably drop to something really poor, would it be a good idea to open up another account (maybe a fixed rate for 3 years or 5 years as I won't be withdrawing this money), or should I just leave it where it is?

    Thanks in advance,

    Darren

For your Golden ISA 2, once it's reached it's 12 month anniversary, you'd do best to transfer it somewhere offering a better rate (once the 1% bonus has dropped of it). You can do this before if you want to, you don't have to wait for its anniversary. HERE'S a link to Kazzas "best available" list, which should help you decide where to transfer it to.

    Thanks, 10_66,

I have decided that I will transfer my existing ISA sum to the Nationwide one. I've just requested a pack that will allow me to fill in the required form and will allow them to get the process started for me...only question I have is this:

Do I have to open the ISA before 6th April 2011 and as this form won't reach me until then, have I left it too late to transfer?

    Thanks

No, you're fine, you don't have to open the N'wide ISA before 6 April for the transfer.

I wish to open this ISA but I have already filled my allowence up for this tax year. Does this mean I have to wait to Weds to open it so that I can transfer money into the account?

Do I have to wait for a full 12 months from the date I opened my barclays golden ISA 2 to receive the bonus? Or can I transfer this to an existing ISA elsewhere without losing any bonus interest before the 12 months are up?

Yes, if you've used up this year's subscription you'll have to wait until the 6 April to open the Golden ISA 3.

Each month the interest you receive includes the 1% bonus. You won't lose anything if you wish to transfer away from the Golden ISA 2 before the 12 months anniversary.
