Just wanted to update this thread.
Vodafone rep Lee took charge of this personally and the issue with the mast has finally been fixed and suitable compensation made.
So in this case all credit to Lee.0 -
Hi jem16,
Thanks for returning to your thread to confirm that this has been resolved for you. Your kind words are also appreciated.
I have also got your last email from Friday and will come back to you again as soon as I can.
All the best.

Mobile Broadband overall is a myth. During the course of my work I travel extensively around the country and use a Vodafone Broadband Dongle( amongst others). The Eastern part of the country does at least have relatively regular 3G access in the areas I work which can't be said of the North West or the midlands. To only have a GPRS signal at Manchester Airport T3 is a complete joke. The dongle is the K3520:D0

Hi c45arlo,
I’m sorry to see you have difficulty with the coverage on your modem in certain areas of the country.
We’ve got a great tool here which you can use to provide coverage feedback. The more we get the better, so feel free to provide feedback for as many areas as you need.
Kind regards,
Jenny

Works really well.
Works really well ? I wasted £50 on a Sure Signal about 3 weeks ago. Vodafone cannot tell us how to get it to work with a NetGear router and Apple Mac computers. You would think that it had never occurred to them that some people might use equipment from those manufacturers. The Sure Signal ought not to be marketed, save with a clear warning to that effect.0 -
To only have a GPRS signal at Manchester Airport T3 is a complete joke.
Fear not, it is the same in some parts of London! Was out in Camden last Friday and couldn't go online to book a cab, I could only get a weak GPRS signal - had to call an 0844 number instead and because the signal was so poor, I got cut off and had to redial... thanks Voda. I also consider it lucky to get anything better than Edge in the Picadilly area... Thankfully, my contract only has just over a month left to run
Edit: It's also near impossible to get 3G (let alone HSPDA) around Canary Wharf during "daytime" (that'll be until around 8pm) but all the other networks are coping just fine around there...Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
Hi paieye
It’s disappointing to see that after buying your Sure Signal device, you have been unable to use it to its full potential so far.
You can find more information on troubleshooting and hints and tips for the Sure Signal device here.
Hi Yolina
Thanks for your post relating to network coverage in your local area.
You can leave feedback on our coverage on our UK Signal Map. Any feedback left to us via the website is greatly appreciated in improving our network for our customers.
If you feel that your coverage is not as strong as usual in your local area, and has taken a recent downturn, you can also check our Faults Board for further information.
Many Thanks
Simon

Simon, your very own "faults board" lists a Camden mast as being down since 1st December 2010 with "no timescale for resolution". There's no mention anywhere of areas with 'capacity issues', to use the official VF term, where the masts are fully functional but simply not coping. People have been complaining about coverage in Canary Wharf for months too though the 'capacity issue' was allegedly being addressed over past couple of weekends - let me tell you that it's still no better.
All this added to the abysmal customer service over the past 18 months means that I will not stay with you when my contract runs out (41 days and counting), I will not recommend your network to anyone and my friends who are currently on VF have also decided to leave at the earliest opportunity due to the same issues. Instead of sponsoring F1, how about investing in the network?
Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
What do you mean "full" potential ? The VSS has for us been 100% useless. If you could get it to work for 50% of its potential, that would be a giant improvement. As for the link that you have given me, if you yourself go to that link, you will find that I have already posted an appeal for help there about this, an appeal that has so far gone quite unanswered by Vodafone.0

Hi Yolina
We’d certainly be more than happy to chase this up for if the Faults Board is showing a site down since December 2010. We would require the full postcode of your location(s) to check what is affecting coverage in the area for you.
Please e-mail us here using WRT135 as the subject with the information, and we’ll get this investigated further for you.
Hi paieye
If you could provide us with the name that you posted on the thread, I can certainly pass this on to our team to chase this up for you. I searched under your MSE posting name but could not find anything under that name.
If you contact us via the method posted above, we’ll certainly look to help wherever we can.
Many Thanks
