Fair play, maybe I was a little harsh but I still stand by my views;) But if you wanna play with the adults, you should expect a little bit of rough treatment.0 -
Sorry,I did not realise the OP was so young.Thought you were saying that teenagers basically have no need for financial, old style, shopping advice. As I said,im still a teen and was a little offended by your comment regarding parents moderating posts, especially when at 16 or over one is an adult.
Anyway, ive no idea of who the OP is,so I feel ive misunderstood your point of view. But regardless of age, these boards offer invaluable advice
No I wasn't saying that, or at least I wasn't intending to. From my understanding, the OP is approx 14 and is advertsing her "servcies" as a teenager. Sorry, but that does not sit well with me.0 -
While I admire Talia's willingness to post, I am not quite sure how much of a moneysaving help a 14 year old would be, or indeed how her post even relates to moneysaving?0

Hi
Suprised to see the posts have predominantly shot up, while I was away. Reading through some of them.....i do notice a distinct nasty tone here. Although this member may be just offering advice or their views their is a much nicer and more pleasant way to go about it. Just to answer your concerns, Yes my mother does monitor my posts, and I have signed up to the promise to report any inappropiate languages/ threats immediately (I'm not saying anyone has done this, expecially not anyone in this thread, I'm just using it as a general term i.e the weirdos asking for addresses child snatchers etc) Luckily I've been brought up with mainly common sense and I know what to do if this was to occur. Forgive me for my rudeness ( I'm ignoring yours) but since you so starkly put I was advertising a service I'd like to argue against that, With respect where respect is due . All I was basically doing was asking for a chance to offer my advice to others, I didn't state I'd always be right, or that a teenage perspective is ALWAYS best, but getting things from perhaps a younger perspective definitely will give you a fresh view, again not always right, but another angle to look at things.
How can it even be slightly disturbing that I've posted on here, Am I offering a paid service to members where they can visit my house, see me in person or even contact me outside Mse. Am I advertising for paid work, Doing anything dangerous or illegal or something in a similar vein. I could see the reason for concern for the aformentioned, But otherwise.....not. My parents are aware of this thread, and can't see any dangers in it, so please FAKE IRISH would you point them out to me.
I am 14 as one poster wittingly observed and from what I've seen this part of the site is for Problems in Relationships etc? On a moneysaving front, I'd like to think I'm quite spending savvy, I can certainly find the cheapest deals. Hmmmmm.......... I thought teens were unfair?
P.s If you find my posts inferior or annoying, then avert your attention. But for the record, if my posts have anything offensive or vulgar to you then don't hesitate to PM.0 -
It wouldn't surprise me to find that Teen Princess Talia is, in actual fact, a nerdy 39+ year old man frantically appeasing his inner princess

Hello!?
Believe what you like it doesn't concern me. For the record, ask me anything that a teenage girl would know (and I'll quickly score the internet for answer) Oj. Seriously though, I'm quite frightened if I sound like a 39+ man, Do I really?0 -

You appear to have forgotten that we were all teenagers onceI don't mean that in a hurtful or rude way, it is just a fact. The only difference is that we are older (and wiser) and a hell of a lot more worldly. Well, most people are anyway.
However, I fully commend your money saving ways. Why spend what you don't have to!
Best of luck with the many years you have ahead of you.0
