Hi
First of all, I just want to say Thanks for everyone who replied in my first thread, Luckily everything got straightened out with a combination of Mse'ers rational thinking and my Confrontationess (I know thats not a word!)
I wanna do my bit too know. I'm no expert when it comes to sorting grown up problems, but I can give some helpful advice to you if you have any questions regarding the 'teen species'. Lol!
I'm not saying I'll always have the right answer
But hopefully If I help one person then this thread and my existence on the forum will have a point!
So go on....... Don't be shy Post away!

Hey, i'd just like to throw my tuppence worth in
.
I started posting on forums when I was 14. You can learn a lot from the oldies, I know I did :rotfl:. (I'm 20 now) And I think in a way, it can be good to be in adult company when you're growing up and not just around your friends. Even if you don't know what's going on sometimes!
It's especially good being on a site like this and learning how to budget and save your money... And hopefully never going into debt. That's something they don't teach you at school. Most of us find out the hard way, eek! I'm sure Martin would agree - start 'em off small! :money:
Anyway, I felt the need to apply because I see my younger self in you. Don't be surprised if you don't get many replies to this post, though. I don't know of any other teenagers that post. And I feel that taking advice about teenagers from teenagers could get a bit messy. You're still growing up too remember. But I see your incentive.
Just keep on posting. I'll tell you one thing it's also great for your grammar and spelling - they always used to tell me off back in the day! :rotfl:Toto, I
Don't think we're in
Kansas anymore...

Its nice to have some teen input when the problem is our teen!! IYKWIM! A different angle is always a good thing. I am glad the boards have helped you on your way into adulthood, which really isn't that much different from being a teen really. Just more problems and complex issues to deal with!0

Hello!
I'd like to think my English is nearing perfect (I have the A to prove it!) and I've always been a nifty moneysaver. I have tons of clothes, shoes and cosmetics, but since I've worked scrimped saved and budgeted for them I don't see the harm in that. I've also kept a lot on the side for Uni (which I've never admitted(!) :rotfl:
I agree with you, some Oldies are definitely wise. They have the wrinkles to prove it Lol! On a more serious note, I think you can learn a lot from grown ups, it just depends on what you get out from what they say..
I can almost see the younger you (I'd think that we'd get on, but since you're the older you, I'm sure it still applies)
As dumb as this sounds, I take your point about messy advice, but I've never done anything rash or regrettable so far, so up to now I think I'm covered :T
Thank you for posting :A0 -

Hi
I pride myself on trying to be a less problematic teen and a more grateful one. I think most parents would be creeped out by this!
I know I can't revert every teen to my thinking angle as it probably has tons of undiscovered faults, but I think I'd know what would make growing up that little bit easier!
Personally (I know I don't sound like a teen here) but I think the Parents give the growing up thing for teens too much leeway. Its just about finding 'you' I suppose. Adulthood seems much more harder!
Thanks for posting :A x0 -
Haha I'm sorry it wasn't a dig at your spelling mrs! I honestly meant I used to get into trouble for having such bad grammar when I used to post - you seem a lot better than I once was, congrats on the A
.
Like I said, I totally understand your incentive, I gather that you're a bright girl with her head screwed on...ish. :rotfl:I jokes, I jokes!
It's always good to get the perspective on the other side. Instead of all these old buddies trying to figure out what's going on with seventeen year old son for example, because let's face it it's not the 70's anymore :A your idea's and opinion's could be a good help.
Talia, the 'older' me... scoff, scoff... is no different than the me I was four years ago. Except my spelling is better. And I know a little bit more about smelly men. That is all

Dear Heart shaped Diamond,
Your dig or lack of it or whatever (getting confused) doesn't actually bother me. Omg, do i actually sound uptight to you?
Thanks for the congrats though i would've like them better if I got an A*
Yeah........ I suppose you could add ish on the end, which is actually quite polite as I know their are much harsher ways of wording it. Lucky escape me thinks!
You know how golden oldies bang on about the 70's well it doesn't actually sound that fun! Who wants to see a bunch of sweaty oaps with their skirts hitched up hitting the dance floor (with their zimmer frames)to Lady Gaga anyway! It must've of been excruciating to be a kid back then with your mum partying and everything (Not that I'm saying you were born in the 70's as my maths isnt that bad either!)
I'd be careduly about using the word old buddies, cause trust me I know that OB can be very violent. Cue the M & S 1p sale ages ago, I still have the bruises:rotfl:from being prodded by an old lady with a stick  And they say the youth are thugs?! I say the !!!!! underworld is run by the Grannies!
As immature as this sounds.......Guys are totally smelly*

I'm not being a party pooper but why the heck are you advertising and inviting postings as a teenager? I know there are no rules about children posting on this site but it is aimed predominately at adults. I for one do not want to see posts from kids on this site.
I know I will get shot down for this but I stand by my views!
PS - I just hope your parents are monitoring your posts.0 -
So those who are 16 and above dont seek financial advice or discounts on online shopping, even help with cooking from scratch and gardening?
Who said the OP is over 16? The OP said in another post she is in year 10 (age 14?).
Is the op here seeking advice on financial affairs or other MSE matters? Oh yes, I saw one post from her advising a gym user to use anti-perspirant to stop her sweating while working out:o
ALl I'm saying is that teens need to use greater caution in using these sites and most certainly should not be advertising their age. The internet is a dangerous place. Like I said, I hope the parents have set some form of parental control over her internet usage or at least are monitoring her postings on this site which has its share of nutters......:eek:0 -

*snorts*/////////.....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I hope this isn't classed as 'shooting down' - as I'm against violence! But, I do think that's a little harsh, I care more about the content of posts rather then the age of the poster. Aslong as the poster is using the boards sensibly and safely I don't really see a problem.
I'm sure Talia will learn alot from the boards, just as other users will learn from her0
