Evening,
Welcome to all the newbies, you will love it here.
Must be something in the air today, we have also spent the day in the garden. We have a bush that's died in our front hedge so that's come out and left a biggish gap but I'm hoping the holly on one side and Camelia on the other side will spot the gap and fill it in. It's funny being able to see people walking past but funds won't allow for a new one at the minute. Our gardener friend drove past and sent me a cheeky text saying did I want my bush trimming:o it's a good job we both know him very well cheeky monkey:rotfl:
Tea tonight will be chilli and rice. Second day of low GI and I am feeling much happier with myself and surprisingly not hungry. I want to make some of the recipes in Rick Gallops book but they call for wheatgerm. Our local Mr T's don't have it, wonder if its available anywhere else.
Well spent far too much time surfing and blogging today.
really looking forward to South Riding tonight and of course Being Human:)Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Evening all
Very late post from me today, don't know where the weekend has gone again! Went away Friday evening, drank way too much wine Friday night - woops, but no skull ache Sat morning! Was much more refined on Sat night, did have a few glasses of wine in the afternoon but then drank diet coke!
On Friday I made 2 doz choc cupcakes, 1 doz mince pies, 2doz oat biscuits, jam tarts, and a fruit tea loaf - some of this has been eaten over the weekend, but should be enough for pack-ups for the week. Seem to have got to grips with making shortcrust pastry, I use my kenwood mixer to make it, and it's much more successful. Have got spag bol. sauce out defrosting for dinner tomorrow night (made double last time and froze half). Will be a quick tea on Tuesday night as DS1 has Cadets and DH at a meeting. Have made all the pack-ups etc, cleaned the worksurfaces in the kitchen, WM on and DW packed and delay timer on so it comes on later. Will put washing out on the line in the morning, hopefully it will get dry.
Plumber came Friday morning and sorted out the leak under my kitchen sink, and the bathroom tap, so another couple of little jobs done.
Left my trainers in the caravan so wasn't going to be able to run in the morning, but DS1 has found a pair of barely worn N**e trainers that I bought and then he had a growth spurt and they were too tight - I've bagged those as they are better quality than mine! So will be up at 5.30am to get back out there with the running, will be a bit careful tomorrow and will warm up properly - so no more pulled muscles!
Keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Evening everyone
A late one from me again. Didn't get chance to post yesterday. DSD came to visit yesterday, it was lovely to see her as it had been a while. Went to watch a local footie match yesterday afternoon with dh & ds2, the local team won. Last night we went out to eat to local Indian, very good food & great customer service.
we all went for a walk today and took our dog & dsd dog into forest, they had a real good run around. Dsd has pomrainian dog(I think that's how it's spelt). Both our lab & her dog were tired out when we got back. We then went to a local pub & had a drink with fil & mil for an hour.
Os today was cooking roast dinner this afternoon. Dh made brekkie. Dw was emptied & has been refilled & will be put in again tonight. Need to iron ds2 uniform for tomorrow & dh shirt so will do in a minute.
Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Enjoy the rest of your evening. Take care.

Church this morning, then roast lamb for Sunday lunch. DH walked the dogs so not had too much exercise today. Loads of washing dealt with, bedding changed etc. Have been trying to sort out the contents of my kitchen cupboards a bit and find a bit more space. Also made a banana and honey loaf (Gd Housekeeping recipe). Tastes good - and means the three black bananas were not wasted after all!
Hope you've all enjoyed the weekend.Resolution:

Evening everyone,
Well my OS day went fairly well, but I'm not sure where it went exactly IYKWIM - just looked at the clock and realised its almost past my bedtime and I still have to scoop the fat of my chicken stock. I'm tempted to leave it in the sink but I know I won't want to deal with it in the morning - and the moggy might be tempted to have a lick or two!
How does everyone cope with the effects of OS cooking? Even walking to work when the weather is fit doesn't compensate for the amounts of lovely fresh HM bread and twinks I've started to put away.

yorkiepud, I imagine the extra "insulation" is what keeps us all from turning the heating on too early, too! Everything is a plus when you're OS!
I wasn't very OS today. It was my birthday! I went to a cafe and had a really yummy crepe. Then I came home with the intention of heating up some veg soup and making some bread for it, but instead we just scoffed down all the cinnamon buns I made yesterday. I suppose we saved money, also it was delicious
I'm so glad the sun is getting brighter every day. This will feel like the first week of Spring to me, I think!0
