Hi, this is the Daily Thread for xx (add date). This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning everyone.
Hope you're all having a nice lie in  Pants night sleep again for me, feel shattered. Back was better yesterday for doing a great deal of sitting about but going to be and lying on my side made it agony again. I forsee H getting the ibuprohen gel and his healing hands out again.
H has to pop into work. Again. He said it wasn't for long but even so.....I've hardly seen him this weekend.
Weather here is really dull but I might be able to kick the kids out into the garden for a bit
Tea will probably be the usual chicken and veg. Will have to use chicken breasts as I forgot to get the bird out of the freezer
Anyway need to get a coffee on the go.
Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. have a great Sunday OS or not.
Celyn - Glad the wedding went well. Good luck with your moving. Only suggestion I can make is for coconut oil, use it as a moisturiser, it's lovely x

Morning Bitsy and to all that follow.
Hope you guys are all well and happy. Quiet day here. Dh off early this morning to car boot. Hope he brings home something other than: football boots or shirts for himself: another jacket for himself: another 'working' phone!!!!!!!!! Be nice if he got something we could actually use lol! Can't complain, at least dd1 and I got to go by ourselves last week, which was lovely. Not having a grumpy dh looking over our shoulder, or trying to keep an eye on a 4 yr old and stopping her wanting to buy every single toy in the place!!!!!
Dh likes a fry up when he comes in from car boot. Don't have any bread, so I have the spuds cooked to make potato bread.
Salmon, rosti and poached eggs for tea.
The wheel fell off my buggy the other day. I know my wee one is 4 now, but nursery is a long walk for her and she uses a buggy part of the way. The next day my pal phoned me to say that she had ended up being given 2 buggies and that she didn't need the one for an older child and did I know anyone who could use it!!!!! How perfect is that? I will meet up with her today and get the buggy!
Have a good day all, whatever you do, OS or not.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

Thanks for starting the thread Bitsy, I was looking for it from about 6.45
Morning all,
Well my fish cakes went down a treat yesterday - and the smoked haddock was from the condemned shelfThe ratatouille that I did with it went down very well too.
It is cold and grey here today and not much hope of improving I think:( Will put the washing out but not very optimistic.
Dinner today is steak & mushroom pie. It is DH's masterpiece. It is absolutely delish and I don't have to do anythingexcept peel the potatoes and prepare the rest of the veg - carrots & broccoli I think.
Will go to A!di later to look at their garden specials. Will also look at their fruit and veg, and get some German peppered salami - DGS3's favourite.
Well better start the day,
Happy Sunday all, Silver xOutside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

Morning :hello:
My kitchen is almost finished :j :j We painted yesterday. Still have to do the tiles and the display shelves in the recesses. The carpet is being fitted on tuesday, so on wednesday I can get back to normal (almost!). We built 2 cupboards in the recesses but haven't put the shelves inside yet. These cupboards are for ingredients, as there's no shelves everything is in boxes inside the cupboards. It's too much hard work to dig around for flour or whatever so I haven't cooked properly for a while. I have another cupboard for tins, packets, etc. so we've been living out of that, lol.
Shoulder is almost back to normal, hip is still stiff but getting better.
I sold loads of eggs last month, took £31 :T
I started doing surveys and clicks again at the beginning of feb (haven't done them for months), the amounts are going up nicely.
I'd decided to concentrate on just Christmas for my cards, but I've had a few people asking for birthdays and anniversaries so I may change my mind and throw myself back into that.
We can't do much around here til wednesday, so today we might go out. Or we might laze around and watch films, not sure yetBulletproof0 -

Rubbish night sleep again...between DS not sleeping till late, the cat messing about, DH snoring, grunting, thrashing about and then DS up at crack of dawn:o
Feel shattered:eek:
No headache as started today (tmi:o) but stomach and back pain now.
Work tomorrow....I cant wait to get all our debt paid so I can leave work. I know it is only 2 days and lots of you do fulltime but I am struggling now to combine 2 days work and looking after DS esp when I get 4 hours sleep a night:cool:
Roast chicken dinner today and that is about all I am doing.
Need to concentrate on keeping DS meltdown free if at all poss.
I really want to read my library book , Keith Richards biography, but dont think I will get a chance.0 -

Good Morning All
Having a lazy morningdon't feel guilty as got loads done yesterday. No ironing though - can't do it now as DD & her friend are asleep in the room where the ironing board is
Am off to Wembley later, DD & her friend are watching the X Factor tour. We are going to drop them off and then head off to Westfield Shopping Centre to window shop and partake in a Starbucks. Will be having dinner out so no cooking for me today :j
So quite a nice day planned, off now to have a surf until DD gets up......could be a long surf :rotfl:
have a lovely Sunday all.x0 -
NPM, hope your day goes smoothly for you. It's really horrible when you get up in the morning and your first thought is that you really can't wait to get to bed again at night!!!! Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight.
BTW, on facebook, I am Rosemary Clarke, if anyone wants to add me or whatever, I don't go on there much, but was just having a wee nosy this morning, and it is nice to see my nephew, cousins etc on there and feel a bit of connection to them even though they are far away. It would be nice to put some faces to names, although, personally I don't have any pics of myself or the kids on there.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

Morning All
Can't believe I am up so early on a Sunday :rotfl:
The dog was sick yesterday, quite randomly, so we kept her off her food yesterday, just made sure she had lots of water. This morning I've come to see the reason why: she's sicked up a pair of DD's knickers overnight!!!!!:eek::eek: Thanks goodness they've come out, but I'm wondering if there's anything else in there nowfeel an expensive trip to the vets coming on.....
DD is better now, however she has passed the viral gastroenteritis on to DS. He seems happy in himself, but we're trotting through nappies at a ridiculous rate (no pun intended).
And on a positive note, I have a new (temp) job starting tomorrow :T It's a contract for a few months, but that takes the pressure off a little bit, and I can still concentrate on looking for something perm.
DH was meant to be working today (overtime), but is too hungover and is still in bed  I knew he wouldn't make it as he was so drunk when he got in last night. However if he thinks he's lounging in bed all day, he has another think coming.
Roast chicken and veggies for tea today for us, the remains of which will be used in a pie for tomorrow that I shall prepare tonight. House is generally OK, have done lots of flying this week, so only need to concentrate on washing today.
Hugs and spoons as always to those in need.

Hun looking after Noah isn't just a full time job for you, it's a 24 hour job. I know as parents this is the same but at least I generally get 10 hour stint child free whereas you don't. So don't feel bad that youre struggling to do 2 full days a week. I'd struggle to cope doing anything on 4 hours sleep a night.
Rosie - check out this FB thread as you'll find many of us on there
