Afternoon everyone, having a very lazy day here, had all the children plus partners/friends here all weekend and good friends over for dinner last night. DS2 did all the cooking and it was great, he's quite a good cook. Had a couple of glasses of wine too so feeling very tired today.
Have put one load of washing out but I don't think it's doing much as it is overcast and fairly still. At least it will get aired. Apart from that and tidying the kitchen not a lot of OS going on, will wait till tomorrow when some of them leave. Seems strange having DD here and she told me that I could stop hugging her now!!
    Welcome to the newbies.
JackieG, hope DSs eye gets better soon!
Congrats on the baby lowesy - update please?

Enjoy your Sundays. Take care. XX

    afternoon all x

After struggling through work on Thurs and Fri I decided to give into my cold yesterday and spent all day on the sofa, snoozing and reading. OH was home so he sorted out the washing and food, have been a bit better today, but still feeling really heady.

Even so have done the veg for tea tonight, we have pork, looks like a big joint, OH got it from butchers when he went shopping yesterday.

OH has been out looking at cars again and appears to have bought one! yep JackieG guess his love of his life has gone down in value as the fuel costs have gone up!

Whatever! am now going to investigate the ironing basket and hope to get it done, cyas xxxxx

Tru - well done on the eggs :)
yorkiepud, schumie and spendlessKaren - welcome to OS!

Well for dinner, I was going to make something with the rest of the roasted aubergines left over from the veggi mossaka thingy I made last night, but when we sat down to eat last night, I realised OH had thought it was a side dish so had half of them on his plate... arrghhh... So I have no idea; probably mushroom pasta given I did have a look on the top shelf and found yet more dried mushrooms :)

I have some of the mung beans soaking and will make dahl with them tomorrow. I have made some veggie parathas and managed to sneak in a tablespoon of the coconut oil into the mix (only 250 mL left to use). All I have to do is stop OH eating them until tomorrow and we can have them with the dahl :rotfl::rotfl:

Sticky lemon cake (experimental) in the oven :D OH is whinging about me not letting him touch the parkin I made yesterday :rotfl:

Jackieglasgow - thank you for the pasta tip; I have this horrible tendancy to decant stuff into jam jars and chuck away the cooking instructions; so I never have any idea what half the stuff in my cupboard is anyway. I have vague recollections of bringing this stuff back from a holiday ages ago.

I also just found: A jam jar full of wheat bran (used some in the parathas), rice noodles (various), polish sour soup mix, kola nuts (why? how?) and some herbal tea that smells of cat wee.

OH also has this horrible tendancy when he goes home, to bring back lots of out of date stuff from his parents house; so I also have that to throw out when he isn't looking (even I draw the line at chocolate drops from 2002.).

Have spent the morning hand washing stuff and we went to look at a house from the outside that appeared on rightmove last night - and it already had a sold sign outside it :( I just don't get it :( *sigh* I am hating house hunting so much. I think I'm going to have to call into the agents in person rather than rely on the internet; but I am so short of time it's just impossible as none of them are in the town centre.

Have a good day all, cel x
