The bath pearl on the flannel is currently rolling around the bottom of the box :rotfl:

Hi Maria :) Sorry that I asked the question and then didn't even reply to you :o but I've just seen that rainmac came to the rescue :) (Great list too :D) I was trying to find a list that I'd read about Festive gifts for a Fiver on here, but it might not have suited little imps ;) anyway. Made a good read nevertheless, so I'll try and find it again :)

rainmac - Thanks so much for the reply re shredding cellophane (and to Rusty too and anyone else I've missed for other suggestions :)). I'd bought some iridescent shred from an ebayer a few years ago, and it was the best I'd used, and still use too, but the seller's stopped trading. Then I realised that I've never seen iridescent cellophane that I could have shredded  so it wouldn't have been applicable anyway :o:D But thanks again for trying with the cello :) x

thank you i have a massive list of bits and bobs to make and buy now, want it to last them both all day and i would rather have stuff in there that they don't get round to doing than have them run out of stuff to do if that makes sense want them to be really busy and i want it to become a tradition lol

Great tradition to start Maria :) I can't think of a better way to make Christmas last that little bit longer lol. (And tire the kids out in preparation for the big day :rotfl: ) I just wish I had little 'uns around ;) but after reading the suggestions, I think your two will be entertained all day :)

In the thread I read (and forgot all about :o lol) it suggested filling a large box up with different coloured balloons, because as whoever posted it was right imo when they said most small people tend to play with the boxes rather than the contents :D It seemed a strange idea at first glance, but now I think it's great :) (Except for the phobia I have of balloons lol).

Mrs T, love your basket of goodies, looks very pretty :T

If you're having trouble with your socks, why not try one sock in two cases. I couldn't master 2 flannels in one case but others (namely Rusty!) found it easy

My name keeps cropping up whenever 2 flannels/socks are used :rotfl: Am I the only one? :o

Mrs T I did a tutorial which Rosekitten kindly put on the first post of the *does anyone know how I can make* thread. See if that can help you? although I used flannels instead of socks?

  • Just to say I have made both two flannel cupcakes and two sock cupcakes thanks to Rusty's tutorial! My OH just managed to do one with no help or guidance. I guess he must just have a talent for faux-cupcakes!
