Hi Shaz - hope you don't mind me asking but how much do you plan to price your reindeers at. I am also doing a few for a Christmas Fair but unsure what to price at. Don't know how much people will pay and it's my first fair!!!! Don't want to under or over price!!!!
Not anywhere near you so won't be at the same fair!!!!!

Sorry I have snipped again ...
If you can manage to make one up then how about a sock monkey? find a pair of green socks or even black ones with a green heel and toe and put that in aswell? that will help to fill it out a little
Lillian I am still thinking about your hamper the hollywood type one ... brains not functioning properly today too much going on but I am sure something will come to me soonRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
babykat was it you who wrapped your hampers in Christmas paper before wrapping them in cellophane? I thought they looked fab and covering the contents was a great idea. I am planning to do this with mine either with wrapping paper or tissue paper.
thanks for giving me the idea

Hi - it's better to use ladies socks or larger children's ones as mens require too much stuffing!!! You could make a dog version, you would need to change to position of he ears so that you you sewed them on flopping downwards. The tail would need to be more stumpy also. Hope this helps. There is a sock monkey thread but feel free to ask if u need help. I nearly always use the toe of the sock instead of the heel for the nose, unless I get a heel that will stretch more.

PASSION8 where did you get the basket in the first picture and what size are they ? I like the size and shape of them
Hi BabyKatThey're from Dunelm and as a rough guess I'd say they're about 8" x 5" and cost 79p each.
They are a great shape too, one of my faves, and because they're not too deep, they don't need much, if any, packing. HthOh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. ~ Sir Walter Scott0 -

OH bought some silver earrings for his SIL in the summer and she has just given them back unworn as she cant wear silver so thought I could do her a hamper around these. I won an auction on ebay at the beginning of the week for some silver jewelry findings and chains etc so will be trying to make some bracelets etc to go with the earrings. Posty has just been, thought it was the stuff from ebay but its a free bottle of calvin kleins Secret Obsession (which I cant for the life of me remember sending off for and if i did thought it would just be a smelly card) so can put this in with the bits. Just need to find a small basket or something pretty to put it in as all my ones are too big.
BY the way does anyone know any stores which let you have shoeboxes if you ask for them? I need 4 for christmas eve boxes but the shops in my High St wont give out the boxes for some reason. Just said sorry we dont have any.
I got show boxes from Dorothy Perkins, just went in and asked as all the shoe shops I'd asked said they didn't have any. The ladies in DP were really helpful. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0
