I made a sock muffin using fluffy slipper socks and just rolled them together and stuck them in, they fitted into a case without a problem.

Nessa stop panicking! I am here again to help ... you can get them here £3 each ... although expensive...
    http://www.sitesample.buzzsites.net/page/chocolate_shot_glasses_23.cfm

alternatively I found this ... again expensive -

Failing that if you are feeling a little bit nice you can follow directions and make some yourself ... (of course that is the MSE way ;))

That looks fab Rusty, thanks for those suggestions. I may indeed try and make my own. I love to cook!! :D

Also, in view of your footie themed hamper - have you seen in ASDA that they have boxed circular playing cards with a black & white football motif on them for £1 (also have wooden yo-yos, same price)
Thanks for all the football theme ideas - I bought a book at The Works £3 about David Beckham how he got started and hints and tips.... It is upstairs I'll dig it out later if you are interested and find the title. It has load of pictures so I thought it might encourage my 8-10 year old nephew to read....

I bought my first empty basket come hamper from Wilkinsons tonight. £2.99 :D managed to nab plenty of bargains too so its all coming along nicely! I'm doing a cheese & wine hamper for one of my aunties. Got a round wooden chopping board for £2. Perfect and cheap too!! Will probably treat it with beeswax before putting it in the hamper so it looks more expensive ;) and smells good.

Okay so you've all inspired me and i've decided to make some baskets for some family and friends this year. Where do you all get the sturdy whicker type baskets from? I've had a look in my local Wilcos and couldn't find anything.
