Ruth_honey - have you seen the Shopaholic series of novels? They're hilarious - here is the first one - there's actually a film being made of it at the moment:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Secret-Dreamworld-Shopaholic-Sophie-Kinsella/dp/0552998877/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1222098714&sr=8-2

There are loads of them, if she hasn't read them then she'll love them!

How about some "party feet" insoles to put inside her shoes while she's shopping? A new purse?

They're just brown and beige checked paper, I bought them on Ebay - they were from Hong Kong but arrived really quickly. Here is the shop: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Living-Sky-by-shirleyyick - they're actually muffin cases.

Yes, she's read some. I love Sophie Kinsella and have all her books. Looking forward to the film too-wonder when the film is released...I could do an IOU to take her to see it if it's out next year. She has party feet, but the purse is a good idea-Thanks!

funnyfreckle - thanks for the info about the grater. I am making an Italian hamper for my brother for Christmas so will see if I can find that in our Tescos

ruth-honey - I'm sure i saw a 'born to shop' mug in Home Bargains. I think you can get a few things in that range.

Re Shopaholic movie - Actually I'm not excited any more, I didn't realise it had been "Americanised"!

Trailer is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0r2xdur5qxU - I think they've ruined it personally...

Thanks! I was just about to edit my post as I googled it to see if there was any news about it online. Think I will take her to see that when it's out. We went to see Mamma Mia (singalong) together in August and had a great time.
Any more ideas, anyone? Getting really into this now!

I'm doing a Sex & The City theme one for my best friend. I have the trivia game I bought in HB ages ago(£2.99), the SATC CD (TV show one) for £2.99, some 'best friend' Purple Ronnie socks and I'm gonna add a cocktail book too. It's surprising how addictive this all is!
