Just a thought, peeps. Have any of you tried joining your local freecycle groups?

Recently a lovely lady was giving away makeup she had got and never worn, brand new GHDs. I emailed her and asked if she was an MSER and she said, "never heard of it" and it was because she worked at once of the fancy makeup counters in town that she had so much makeup free.

But with freecycle, you never know what someone is giving away. Recently someone in my area was offering a bag of brand new tealights.

You can't guarantee they will give YOU what they are offering but worth a try.
  • wow lucky lady then aureol212 lol

Those mag racks would be ideal for 'night at the movies' baskets Passion! Especially this time of year, you could get a cheapie fleece to put in the bottom for snuggling on the sofa & the bags of popcorn, sweeties & the DVD would pop out the top :p Guess you could add tissues if it's a chick-flick
Another idea was to match or co-ordinate the fabric from the mag rack to make one of those holders to put over the arm of the sofa, to hold the remotes & cordless phone. I'm thinking it would be fairly easy to applique onto the mag rack to make it look like they are supposed to be a set....I can feel some charity shop curtain-huntin a-comin on :D

I think I just 'ooerred' alittle too much. There is a B&M store opening in my town soon, it's just banners ect atm. I've been annoying people by asking what it is. Now I'm excited for another discount store!

Its a site with a good selection of book plates to download and print off......might be handy to use if giving a book for christmas with a hamper.

Fab Mary, thanks so much for this link. I've bought books for lots of children to go with a door hanger for Xmas. These book plates will be perfect to add to the books!!!

mrsbluebear brilliant basket, you've arranged so nicely :T

passion8 - I may have misunderstood what you're saying, is it that the products are not high enough up the rack?
If that is what you were saying could you not get a grocery box and make a n shape with it, glue wrapping paper on it to make it look pretty and make like a insert and then stand the products on top?

That's what i was going to suggest to passion but wouldn't have explained it as well as you soblivion :rotfl:

The rack is a great idea passion, would the cardboard shape help to raise them up so you can more see them poking out? I love the colours of the brown rack and orange Sanctuary products, looks fab :D
