  • Just saw this selection of overpriced hampers on Sainsburys ...

I am amazed especially at the fairtrade hamper as they are charging £35 and I have made one with similar products for a total of £10 including cellophane and a reusable catch kidston bag!!!

    Any comments/tips?

Yes, they're all beautiful :D and you've obviously put a lot of thought into all of them, but the one that stands out for me is the one for your friend's birthday with the Sleep and Bach's (?) products. Thanks for posting them up x Btw, did the bottom basket actually say "skinny" on it, or is it something that you've draped on the inside? tia :)

savingholmes When you mentioned about finding cello wrapping hard, is it because you're using large baskets? I did to begin with and even wrapped baskets one way, and then the other lol, so with me it was just a case of trial and error :)

Lol lush1001 - shopping will never be the same :D but you seem to be well on the way to making your first hampers so good luck x

And ditto mrs bb Once you start it's hard to stop ;) (If it's any consolation - I wondered about the cherry too lol. I still never thought to pick any up when the NC went reduced either! :rotfl: )

funnyfreckle - hi :) I made those hampers now to make room for some more iyswim ;)

I must admit that unlike lilian1977, I didn't put much thought into them at all :o - they were all products that I'd bought over the year so I made the hampers up, sent them to work and they sold the day after :) It's helped to pay for the miles of cellophane lol, and bows etc. (And now they're in someone else's home taking up their space :D;))

Thanks :o It's actually a tea towel, you get 2 in a set from Primark - one has all different types of coffee (so "skinny", "latte", "mocha" etc) on it, and the other just has a big coffee pot on - they're 2 quid for 2 and I think they're such a bargain - they're from the same range as the one I used in the soap cake basket.

Oh by the way, I was just browsing Google images to see if I could find a pic of the tea towel and found this that someone has made out of a tea towel - anyone know if there is a thread here on how to make them?
