Me too! I want to start making my xmas cards now! But I think I will start as it takes me so long to find what I want to put on them and then to sit down and make them, then where to store them... it will be xmas before I finish them! :rotfl:0 -

Well I have pretty papers I am desperate to use so will hopefully make a start today (if not tonight as OH is working away til late tomorrow night) I need to write a list of those I need to make cards for then tick them off after making them, writing them and putting them in envelopes then they can all go in the cupboard. I might even write the ones for my son to take to school lol or is that just too organised???Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Too organised!? You are brilliant! I wish I was that organised, I used to be, till about 2 years ago, and organisation and completing things on time went out the window!
No, you are right to do it that way, that way any last minute suprises don't have you in a flap.
Would you post your finished cards please? I love looking at pictures of people's finished products.0 -
I'm such a lurker on this site and really must sit down with a pen and paper to make some notes. I am going to do hampers this year but at the moment have bits and bobs all over the house that I have bought when on offer. I need to offload DD for a day and write it all down and try and sort the loft out so stuff can go up there.
Whilst eating my sandwich today, and daughter napping I have done ok on the freebies board with things that may be of use to those of you also doing hampers. Free Grolsch glass, registered for two (using DH details), M&S £5 voucher, I already get bombarded with Direct Line mailshots so won't make any difference. I Have also printed off the voucher for the sample size of Dior mascara to go in BFs hamper.
Unfortunately I shan't be able to put hampers together until nearer Christmas as have no room to store them but I will do photos of them then.
Also for those doing cooking hampers Wilkinsons have lovely aprons at 49p saying Mummy's Little Helper on the front.0 -
Hi Tired Mom - thanks for the good spot of the aprons in Wilkinsons. Is it possible to let me know what they look like and what part of the store they are in? Also do you have any idea what sort of age they might be suitable for? Sorry for all the questions but I don't have a Wilkinsons anywhere near but if I ask very nicely I might be able to ask my mother-in-law to have a look for some for me. They sound great.
Thanks for your help.0 -
I would also be interested as I might make up a couple of cooking hampers for our friends children

Funnyfreckle & RustyFlange (sorry not worked out yet how to do the quote thing)
I got the last two in our shop, one was pink and the other lilac. It says Mummy's Little Helper in white and has two pictures of gingerbread men and one of a cupcake. I'm hoping to pop back sometime and see if they have more boyish colours for another one I want to do.
In our store they are with all the baking stuff, where they have the individual wooden spoons, rolling pins etc. They state age range 4-7 years. The make is cooksmart and they are called kids fund apron.
Hope this helps.0 -
Thankyou tired mom.
As for quote there is a little blue button at the bottom of a post which says quote. Click on it and iw will take you to a full sized reply box If you type below that then it will give you a quote.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

How daft am I just seen that big button saying "quote" so hope this works.
What sort of things are you putting in your children's Christmas Eve hampers. My DS is same age as yours and my DD is year older than yours. They both need new dressing gowns so might manage to hang out till Christmas to give them those and thought new pj's as well, book each and letter from Father Christmas. Saw something mentioned here on printing off a star certificate and then for DS thought about Hot Choc set i.e new mug .......Just wondered what other inspiration you'd had.
