    Hiya :)
I was wondering if anyone could give me any good ideas for what to put in a hamper for a 4/5 month old baby girl? (My niece).

I don't know the first thing about babies I'm afraid!!!

Depends on how much you want to spend. Asda do some lovely clothes and lots in the sale (you could buy bigger for next summer) a new cup for when she is older? a dinner set i.e bowl, plate, spoon fork etc? a piggy bank? gift voucher for adams or mother care? a cuddly toy, teething rings? some pretty hair bobbles? again for when she is older?

  • Noctu - I second what Rusty suggests. Maybe some baby bath, baby towel, have a look at the baby things in poundland, bibs, cutlery, cups.
Asda have baby week at the moment and all johnsons things are £1, baby bath, baby wash, baby shampoo, talc etc

  • Well I've just popped up to Tesco's on my lunch break and bought lots of choccy things for the gift baskets I'm doing for my 4 aunts for christmas ( I went to one of the self service desks, I couldn't face the strange looks I was bound to get off one of the till operators :o )

    I bought :-
8 bars of Green & blacks chocolate
4 tubs of Green & Blacks cocoa ( hot chocolate )
4 tubes of after eight straws
4 boxes of tesco finest half coated cookies
4 mini boxes of lindt lindor chocolates

    Total £30.12
    Tesco clubcard vouchers £28.00
So only had to put £2.12 toward it :j

Quite pleased with that considering each basket will be a joint gift for my aunt and their partner. Just need to find some gift baskets now!

  • My instore has small jars with green pastel lids for £1

thanks ive a poundstretcher near me but think its the same as they wear instore t shirts:confused:
  • Saw an advert in the paper today that Morrisons are selling the Green & Blacks chocolate for £1 per bar, thought this may be of use to someone, unfortunately no Morrisons near me.

Also for those doing children's hampers, on the grab it now forum, someone has started a thread about the personalised Christmas Adventure Books with the link for 1p. My DS was bought one of these last year and loved it.

Sorry I don't know how to include the post that I saw, perhaps someone more wiser to the ways could do it if they think it worthwhile.

im going to do some sweetie jars for the kids
does anyone know where i could get any jars from
with pastel coloured lids or similar that are cheapish
as ive about 11 to do  (always wanted to use that smiley:rotfl: )
and next Q does anyone know where i could print of some labels to
go on them you know like a pic of sweets maybe round the edge
then i want to put something like " threelittlepigs sweetie jar" on to it
hope that makes sense and i aint waffling :D

    TIA x

I saw pink and blue lidded jars in Dunelms. Sorry, can't tell you how much they were. The jars were ridged so you may struggle putting labels on them but could add a tag instead?
