  • hooray! i seem tobe able to post from work! no idea why it is not working from my home computer but at least i am not cut off from MSE altogether!!

    just want to say how happy i am that it is xmas hamper time again!! i was lurking around these boards this time last year when i came across this thread and inspriation led to a whole host of hampers which thoroughly impressed my friends and family and i am looking forward to making them again this year (will remember to post photos this time)

    now need to scroll through the hundred odd pages to see what i have missed since xmas....

    keep up the good work girls (and guys??) now i know i can post from work i will be glued to my work PC! look forward to sharing ideas and bargains

    This is £10 in Wilkinsons complete with 3 snowdomes, foam characters and cut outs etc.... hmmm £1 home and bargains each = £3 and then make your own version by just sliding in a picture versus £10 hard decision! I suppose if h&b run out - you could always buy this and split it between a few baskets?

    Haha Im so chuffed with myself today!

    Work has just started a £1 sale on lots of little random things (hats, pen sets, flip flops, mugs etc). I bought 5 things for my neice as she is a HUGE Plymouth Argyle fan and am going to make an Argyle hamper for christmas now :D

    So chuffed, lol.

    I don't know if it was Rainmac or Rustyflange that had some instructions on what to do with the cellophane when wrapping hampers.... This is the hessian gold that one of you used....

  • This is my 40s hamper wrapped - together with a handmade card (the birthday letters were recycled!)

    That looks lovely, I love your cello where did you get it from?

    I think I really should head back up the road and see what rolls of pretty cello they have. I buy about 25-30 metres for £4 ish and at the moment all I have is plain!
