Some ideas would be great please for a hamper for my son's 11th birthday next week. So far I have a Bart Simpson dressing gown (£9 in M&S sale), cool sunglasses, PS2 game and DVD that he wants but that's all. Need some ideas for fillers and also something fairly roomy to put the stuff in. He's into football, playstation and cars (ferraris etc). Help!! Have made loads of hampers for little girls and female relations with great success but just stumped on this one. He's seen all these great hampers and can't wait to get one himself. At the moment, it's not looking too promising!!:o
My weans and their cousins are mad for the savings bank in the shape of a tin can that you can only open with a tin opener, they all have one each and are constantly weighing them to guess who has more. Only problem was I had a devil of a job trying to get three different designs so my three wouldn't get mixed up on who owned what  . The pound shop has them and they're decorated with pictures of money so not childish, and very mse!!! hth

If you are doing a gardening hamper then I've just seen Argos are doing a set of three green trugs (flexible plastic)
    Size (H)33, (D)45cm
reduced from £14.99 to £9.99 for three.

Hi Vicki, these are the ones I have

    http://www.wickes.co.uk/Tool-Storage/11-Compartment-Organiser/invt/506616

Hope this helps. Just did a search for compartment and it dragged up quite a few things but the first couple of pics were different sized ones.

    Tams

I bought these too, again using the £10 off code and they are FAB! Big thanks to Rusty :D:D:D

rusty - like the 'numbering them' idea - think I'll do that with grandsons shoebox of bits and bobs.
My friend always gives me a bag of odds and ends from the charity shops (weve done it for years now)and she always puts some silly clue on the gift to give me a hint whats inside.

A friend of mine has a tradition where the family give little gifts to each other with a funny/silly note on the outside about the present and the recipient has to guess what is inside. They do this in addition to other presents but don't see why you can't do it as the actual present. Makes it all a bit more fun :D

Whatever would the clue say for pickled bums, I dread to think :rotfl:

rainmac - struggling with that one myself..........I'm doing a few 'jokey' bits for grandchildren (survival kits, joke pills) and think they'd get a kick out of the 'clue' idea...............just means my brains got to work harder..........lol

They're gorgeous aren't they, my middle son picked a white chocolate one for his preschool keyworker for christmas, also got her a body mist and handcream reduced from boots - going to wrap it all with cellophane and bow.
