  • I popped into the Pier today in the hope they may have some of those lovely coloured baskets left (they didn't). They didn't, but they did have some lovely votive candles reduced to £1.20 for packs of six. They then had a further 30% off making them 86p for six. I also picked up a gorgeous mug for £1, which again had 30% off so cost me 70p. Worth a look if you have one near by.th_DSCF0774.jpg

I'd arrange the things in a basket threelittlepigs. The ideas of a knife and crackers are great. You'd pay loads in a shop for such a basket!

I did a similar kind of thing. the day before I needed to give it to my father in law I nipped to asda/morrisons and bought a variety of all different cheeses just small lumps enough for one kind of size. Then arranged them all lovely into a basket with a couple of bottles of wine, however you could get some mini bottles of wine (Asda do 5 bottles for £4) a cheese board (round one) cheese knife, small block of crackers and selection of cheeses and use some blutack or double sided pads to keep it all in place rather than use a basket??? I know what I mean for it to look like lol hard to explain though. total cost would probably be about £12 including all the wine and cheeses etc
