I'm a lurker on this thread.... usually trying to keep up to date with the Boots thread!!
Anyway, my reason for posting is that I've found a website that does decent sized Organza bags for putting 'stuff' in that just doesn't look quite right in a basket......http://www.islepac.co.uk/
They do bags in every style, colour and size! I ordered 20 large organza bags and 10 mini tote bags, and the total was just over £16 (just £2.70 for delivery).
Have a look - http://s372.photobucket.com/albums/oo168/katerinababa/
I've also put on there a couple of baskets full of Boots free goodies that I did for a couple of local charities.

BTW - all cellophane and bows are from Flowerhour - where else!!!!
Can I just ask what size organza bag you used for the TD stuff? Thats an absolutely fab idea for some of the Trevor Sorbie pressies I have (thanks Boots!) but can't work out what size bags to buy.
Thanks heaps.0 -

Have checked out the site, loving the organza bags, but have to phone in my order as I live outside the UK, so will have to wait till Monday. Your pictures are fabulous, anyone would love to receive them, can I be cheeky and ask about the contents of the baskets, and how much the organza bag and contents cost altogether please?
Hi kbl
All the contents of the baskets were virtually free from various glitches in Boots (No7 Sun when you could get 6 for 1, Sanctuary sachets (free), TD (free)). The Time Delay stuff in the bag cost £2 i think (just paying the remainder after £5 coupon taken off). Even though the organza bag is stated at 39p each, once you take in account delivery and VAT the unit cost for my 30 bags is 55p.
Pidge - I've ordered the largest bags they do, but they wont fit the TS shampoo nor the Umberto Gianni stuff in - shame! We'll just have to carry on using baskets! I plan to put smaller things in that usually get lost in a basket.0 -
They look gorgeous :T

I've spent the last few days reading through this entire thread and I have to say I'm inspired! My bf thinks I've totally lost the plot as I now have a spreadsheet on the computer marked 'Christmas 2008' which contains the list of things I'm intending to include in hampers. Everyone I have to buy presents for is getting a hamper this year!
I'm trying to have quite a money saving Christmas this year as I tend to overspend and end up still paying for Christmas in April! I've cut down on the amount of people I'm buying for but was really struggling as to what I could buy for them, but now all you lovely, lovely people have made me realise I can put together a fabulous gift basket for less than £15!
I'm going all out money saving - I'm even making brownies, cookies, cakes, truffles and other sweet things to pad out the hampers a little.
So thank you all for being so inspiring and giving me a Christmas obsession in August! lolJust because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you.:p

I've just made a small mini hamper for my friend's birthday, using a really cute gift box from Asda (I got it a few weeks ago and can't remember the exact cost but think it was about £2). This is the box closed:
I've put the following inside:
M&S "Sexy Skin" Bath Set (Reduced to £3 in the sale - got another 60p off by asking my sis to get it using her M&S staff discount so cost me £2.40!)
2 mini pink candles from Superdrug (Reduced to 10pin the sale!)
Terry's choc orange bar (25p from multipack)
Cupcake Notelets (75p in the works as part of a 3for2 deal) *You can't see these in pic as they are underneath the shredded paper!*
So including the box it's cost me just over a fiver and only took me 5 mins to do as i'm not faffing with cellophane and ribbon for once lol (It's going in a box to Holland so I decided the bow wasn't worth the hassle if it would probably be damaged in transit anyway).
Quite pleased with the result:
Need to be organised now and get onto my Christmas hampers!0 -
