Good point, didn't actually think of that, and strangely enough I don't believe the lady in question selling the jam baskets has anything other than a normal kitchen, so if I bought any now I'd only end up worrying about giving them, you've saved me money!!!!
The reality is jam is a low risk food as sugar(and vinegar) reduces the risk of bacteria multiplying
I just feel the EHO is trying to restrict homes being used for business

It cost a whole two pounds for the canvas and the silver pen was also 2 pounds but I can barely count that as it will be used for many things.
aaahh it is so sweet

Could I just ask for some ideas for a small gift box/hamper (it has to be posted) for a lady recovering from chemo for breast cancer. She is only 40.
As it would have to be posted the things would have to be quite light.

thanks for your comments about the canvas, I think its something personal that they will enjoy reading.
I have made my first hamper to sell, I didnt plan on selling them but someone my OH works with wanted a present for his mum for her birthday. It includes one of those flannel handbags and I have to say I was pleased with it!
Any idea on how much I should charge for a hamper like this?Debt free wannabe
Littlewoods - £214.82 (DD set up so 0%)
Very - £100 (0% on BNPL - 1/4/13)
CC - £2600/£3533.53 (0% until 1/6/14)0 -

I have read this post (well some anyway!!) and I am totally inspired to make baskets this year.
We have just bought a house and should move in begining of October. Looking forward to the new start (neighbour from hell - long story) but money will be tight to begin with while we decorate and I was worried about xmas, lucky we have no children to buy for so it is only imediate family to buy for.
I am going to let everyone know that we will not be splashing out this christmas but I am so glad to see that we can do someting really thoughtful for everyone as I'm sure they will all be giving a helping hand with the new house and we can show how much we appeciate it without breaking the bank so thank you to all for alll your wonderful ideas :T0 -
