Looks lovely siren - the colours of the items in the basket realy stand out. If you want to add anything else you could do a pretty gift tag (quite big) in similar colours to the contents.

Thanks for your suggestions....it's for a male, so wondering if there's summat I can use in place of the shoe box to put it in. I'm debating on a cheapie tool box, & adding a spanner to tighten nuts & screwdriver nudge-nudge wink-wink:whistle: :naughty: Well....be a shame to waste that viagra :laugh:

  • I bought this yesterday in the 99p shop, thought it may come in handy for a bathtime basket. They have them in a few colours, inside the bath is a little voile bag with heart shaped fizzers

Hope the picture works. It actually measures 6 inches accross

Can I ask how much they were for qty of salts please? I've so far bought all mine from ebay - about £4 for about a kilo of salts inc. p&p. I asked in Tesco chemist and they only sold tiny pots of salts for about £1.40 whoch is why I;ve stuck to ebay so far but p&p is exepnsive as they are so heavy. Didn't think to ask in Boots ;)

I think most bath salts 'recipes' use epsom salts. Some add rock salt and other things in as well. There are some good ones to try on these sites...

I am going to have a go at making a huge popcorn/fries box for my 'family night in' basket. I figure that if I make the sides & bottom from a box, use masking tape to affix then papier mache over the lot, I will have a very strong box. I was thinking painting it using normal emulsion, then decorating with either coloured paper or markers - not sure yet. But I am also thinking that this would be a very vereeeeeeeee cheap way of making baskets. The possibilities are endless.

For some christmas hampers this year, I used normal boxes but covered them in fablon (cheap in wilko/ebay) it's that sticky backed stuff. I cut the boxes like the side of a sleigh before I put the fablon on, and put runners on the side and cellophane and all that. It worked really well and I wish I had saved a pic for you all.
