  • I am making a basket for my friends 60th birthday and am trying to find a "60" pretty sign - you know the type like the 18 or 21 keys. Not having much luck I'm afraid, plenty of uglyish badges around in the card shops but nothing pretty

    Any ideas?

I am making my sister a 'Reading Hamper' for her birthday containing: a trilogy of books, hot chocolate, mini-marshmallows, really fluffy socks, and them I'm stuck for ideas for what else to add. Help would be appreciated. Also along the same theme its my other sisters birthday (aswell!) and i have no idea what to get her. She will be turning 21 but is going through a bit of a rough patch with not eating, not working and mild depression she is also very hard to please with presents and never seems impressed and i really have no clue what to get her!

    Thanks everyone
Try Body shape bible with Trinny and Susannah - may help her appreciate herself more. I got it for £5 on a deal - see if Amazon have any special offers...

Other book titless I've found helpful with depression

If I loved myself enough... (Its a little books of couple of sentences per page) If I loved myself enough I would make time to go for a swing.... I would laugh more.... etc I found it uplifting

CrystalClear, use your printer. Buy some glittery card from a card store. Using word art do a 60. Make it go back to front by dragging it and print. Then cut out using a craft knife, Stick on some other pretty paper.

I saw some dark willow baskets - think it was a nest of 5 - in Costco last week for just under £15. Not as cheap as some but they were really nice and all lined too.

    Hi all!!

Just thought I would share a pic of the hamper I made for my brother's girlfriend. Its all wrapped up now although I did it in a bit of a rush what with house packing and so I don't think it looks that good. If anyone could help me out with some tips on making the box look nicer that would be great.
