the door hangers? is it just paper glued onto the blank? do you varnish (pva)them after you have finished?

Would the blanks be easy to cut as our door handles are looped so would need a hooked hanger

    TIA
    Shaz

Hi Shaz, I use normal scrapbooking type paper and don't use varnish/ glue over top but you could do (may help prevent wear and tear I guess).

I've put some blurb on this thread explaining how I've done them but there are probably lots of other/ easier/ better ways to cover the hangers.

Not sure about cutting them to fit  , sorry. I'm sure if you looked around you can get hooked hangers off the peg (so to speak!).

    HTH :D

Love the cooking hamper Rusty :D, I've basically copied you and done the same for one of my son's friends for her birthday. Have also added cake cases. I think it's a cracking pressie :D

I also bought Supercook muffin cases cheap to add to my xmas chocolate hampers as going to include a couple of chocolate recipes - one being for chocolate muffins!

Ooooh forgot cake cases!!! Good job it's not wrapped yet! lol still have choc chips to put in aswell now I think on! Thanks :)

I've just been to Au naturale and picked up some baskets, a set of 4 greeny coloured ones they were only £4.99 reduced from £12.99 ready for christmas ...
pickes up some of the melamine type trays but the rectangular ones, going to see if I can create a tea/coffee tray rather than a hamper with the fairtrade goodies :)

Our Au Naturale shop closed down :( . I used to really like it. I think I've got the same baskets as you, bought them in the closing down sale (think I paid £6.99 so you got a fab bargain!). I've used the middle sized one already and keeping the others for Xmas. A tray is a good idea and very useful too :D

You could put those silicone cake cases in which are either primary or pastel colours and they need never buy another pack of paper cases againhttp://www.cakescookiesandcraftsshop.co.uk/acatalog/Pastel-Silicone-Cake-Cases.html

Hi, just thought you'd all like to know that Wilkinsons have a 1/2 price sale on alot of their home/kitchen goods. They had storage boxes with lids in purple/pink and silver/grey which would be good for childrens hampers as they could use the boxes after they have finished with their goodies! Also I bought a Simpsons beer bucket down to £2.50 which I know have been mentioned on here before, good for men/teenagers, they also had Simpson lap trays, aprons and oven gloves all at 50% off!!! Alot of the other trays/aprons/oven gloves/placemats were also 50%off, aswell as other things. Hope this helps somebody.
