Finally got myself to Au Naturele today and got a set of 4 green baskets for £8.99 and can use each one for a pressie so not bad bargain. Also got one of the mugs with a spoon like Rusty's above - well pleased with that (would have bought more but only 1 left!). Bought a couple of mini whisks and graters for 50p each to start the makings of hot chocolate hampers for Xmas. Ohh and a couple of Price's candles in jars. Good shop I think!
Forgot my photoframes, £2.49 each - half price! They are lovely quality, thick wood and sort of rounded at the sides. Not sure if will give these as they are in a hamper or pop in a pic of DS1 & 2. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

A set of 3 for £2.99 and their really big our poundland has a little section of things for a couple of pounds and i couldn't leave without them. Is it just me but i buy things and i want to keep them! their to good for anyone else. I wish i had a friend that does hampers so i could receive one. Do you think it would be really sad to make myself one from my DS for my birthday in june
Rustyflange did you get your baskets from B-O-T store Au naturele their really good value as they were £4 shame its closing but hope to get some more good bargains before they go.
It's not just you kitiaracat, I tend to buy what I like and so want to keep everything too! If I did my husband would go  and file for divorce! None of my friends/family are hamper makers but I'm hoping after receiving one from me this year they will all jump on the hamper wagon! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

sorry forgive me for being thick, whats b-o-t store?
Rainmac, shame you couldn't get any more, I think they are quite funky ... wish I had bought one myself but the other half said what the heck is that when I showed him
Maybe we should do a secret santa hamper ... get a list of all the hamper makers and then make a small hamper and post it lol ok so can see the expense on the postage side but was a good idea!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

I have just ordered 3 packs of each totalling just under £6 and will be perfect to put in my OH's hamper for fathers day
Hope this helps someone else.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
This thread has just got so long with all the fantastic ideas. I had a go at making hampers last Christmas with great success and am only coming back to making another now. There were some great ideas here on the best place to buy cellophane but unfortunately I can't find them. Can anyone suggest somewhere? I used my local florist last year but it ended up costing me money as she wouldn't take money for it and I ended up buying loads of floral stuff instead!!0

A lot of us order from flower hour:

she also sells on ebay. I have ordered from them before and the cellophane is lovely.0 -
