Hi all ... there is a free harmony cd on https://www.grabitnow.com Would be perfect to put in a relaxing hamper or something similar ... I have ordered one to do exactly this. and for free it means we can get more goodies to go in them.

    Hopefully it may help someone

You know - I'd just deleted the email thinking 'we won't use that' when I read your post - why didn't I think of that, lol.

Grabbed two - one on hubbies account - as I have a couple of hampers coming up that it'll go in perfectly.

I managed to get a set of four baskets in the Home Bargains yesterday for £3.99, they are a nice dark wicker. They also had large ceramic salad bowls in various pastel colours that were quite nice for 99p, I thought they might be a nice alternative to a basket.

Ok so I am now doing another hamper ... In need of a couple of extra ideas ..

It will be for my elderly next door neighbour she lives on her own and is very lonely after her husband died a few years ago. She mentioned the other day (when we were having a natter over the fence) that she is struggling to sleep.

Anyway I was thinking a few little pots of Jams
a small pot which can be used for pot pourri
A bag of lavender pot pourri (placed at side of bed to help her relax)
a couple of various sachets of malt drinks (horlicks, ovaltine etc)
Can anyone else think of some nice but fairly cheap ideas.

Herbal teas are meant to help you sleep especially chamomile, erm,,,, maybe some other lavender products - candles, bubble bath, room spray. I'll have a think, sounds like a really nice, thoughtful idea - what a lovely neighbour you are. I'm sure she will be more than happy with anything you get her.

Well I made my first hamper today for the elderly lady next door.

Only cost £4 in total and that included the basket.

Basket for hamper - Au naturele 99p
mini pots of jam - morrisons - 5 for £1 or 25p each
    shortbread biscuits - morrisons 79p
    2 x ovaltine sachets BOGOF - Morrisons - 25p
    2 x horlicks sachets BOGOF - Morrisons - 25p
Small bag of lavender pot pourri - part of £1 gift set from lloyds chemist
Mug with spoon in handle - Au Naturele - 50p in sale.

I didn't bother to wrap it as I knew she would struggle to open it so just let my son knock on the door and give it to her ... she was almost in tears bless her. :)
