Moyilla,
Perhaps a box would be more practical to put the 'loot' in as you will be putting it in the post...needs to be sturdy to survive the Christmas rush.
Marie
That's what I was thinking originally but I would really like to have them made up ready to open.
Perhaps just wrap the basket in Christmas paper instead of cellophane0 -
Oh meanmarie!!!!
How spooky my parcels would be going to Kildare!!!!
Small world eh?

Hi all, after the success of my hampers last year (I did the pink one that you may recall seeing amongst others!) and the person I did the "Pink" basket for I am looking to do a "holiday" themed basket for.
I already have a beach towel that was reduced in the sale in Superdrug, and was going to put in a book, some sun cream and after sun......any other ideas for what I could include please?"Life may not always be the party you wish for, but whilst here you may aswell dance"!!!

Thanks for bumping this. I remember seeing it last year and thinking that it was a great idea and that I would try it out for this Christmas.
Just about enough time to start collecting bits and bobs for them:T0 -

 You mean you haven't been collecting up throughout the year? Only joking, it is a great idea and you can get bits n pieces for next to nothing out there to make them look fantastic! Sometimes the most expensive part of the hamper can be the basket itself!!!
Now, heres another one for you all to get your brains working. My dad retired last year and has just bought a yacht with the lump sum fro his pension. I would like to do a hamper along the sailing lines for them but really do have no idea where to begin with this one. HELP!"Life may not always be the party you wish for, but whilst here you may aswell dance"!!!

So far I've done a pink hamper for my SIL which came about by accident really. I had bought on and off lots of bits for her when I'd seen them reduced and as it was her B'day asked what perfume she liked and it was the "pink" next range. When I put all the other bits together I realised they were mostly pink so a "Pink Hamper" :rotfl:
I'm doing her a coffee hamper for xmas which I've got most of the bits for now.
I have done a toiletries hamper for Mum as she and dad are just on pensions.
Filled it with all the basic items she uses with one luxury item purchase of perfume.
Am also doing sweetie boxes for the kids. Have the boxes bought on special offer earlier this year and am stocking up on sweets each time we shop.MFiT Member No 85
