Andy loved it, huge success, he didn't realise I made the big biscuit and the chocs myself, so I was very pleased.
I also took him warm croissants, cereal, champagne and coffee in bed this morning, so he's been very spoiled but drinking champers at 8.30 in the morning has left my eyes sqiffy:eek: still its only comes around once and he doesn't have to work today, he's just taking pup for a walk.

Thank you for the nice comments and all the ideas.
  • Im glad he loved it! :j

Here's the 50th birthday hamper for hubbies birthday tomorrow. I also bought him a cocker spaniel puppy 5 months old, which he got tonight and she's just lovely and the card in the front of the hamper is a subscription to a magazine he loves.
Here's all the things in it plus a naughty mug which I forgot to take piccie of
    100_0019.jpg

Here it is all done up.

Hope he likes it, I'm very nervous.
Thank you for looking and all the inspiration.

Sorry these piccies are massive, I sized them down, I don't know what went wrong

Soblivion, I have replied inyour other post but I didn't realise you had turned it all into a hamper. This looks FAB. Well done.:T

    if your looking for cellophane
the widest is 33 inches wide
there are sellers on ebay who
sell it on buy it now.
I use one thats 20 inches wide

Have you weighed your baskets ?
1.25 kg is £5.50 on recorded post
just to give you an idea.

id you list this for £10 you have to
factor in 35p listing fee plus final
value fees and then if they pay
on paypal just off the top of my head
    around 30/40p.

hate to sound like a doom and gloom merchant
but if it were me I think I would go with
    something around £10.99/£11.99
and that tea towel I would make it into
    a cushion,a good light weight,space filler
    plus it then becomes something
    decorative and practical.Plus it adds
to the appeal because more people
would prefer to get a cupcake cushion
    than a tea towel.

Do the front in cupcake fabric
and stripy on the back.Make it up as a throw
    pillow/cushion.Sew three sides,fill and sew
    up the fourth side.

Thanks for the advice Rosekitten. I have made a few different ones up now and plan to sell them at a car bootie on Sunday (weather permitting). I have made some of the chocolate on the 'chocolate slab' thread and put them in little cellophane bags. I will let you know how I get on.

Thanks luvbargains, I did do the chocs and biscuits myself.
I posted a pic of the chocs in the choc slab thread and a pic of the biscuits in the bum cookies thread.
I did a lot of pic posting today but I was excited yet nervous all at the same time. LOL

    It's lovely and I hope he has a great birthday :) x
