chgeck that there are two cup cake towels

For anyone who missed this as cupcake stuff
is so expensive.
I have made a cushion from mine already and

I love that design and similar designs like the ones with shoes and handbags on lol.
I was in Boots this week, or last, I can't remember now, but spotted these:

I couldn't resist buying onelol, but then I remembered your picture and wondered if it would be easy to source the 'cake cups'?
I'm not sure if that link I posted shows it, but some of the flannels have a small pearl filled with gel or soap or something - they're really pretty but priceyOh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. ~ Sir Walter Scott0 -
There are a lot of people on here that can make them. I'm sure if you paid the price of the items and postage someone would make one for you.0

Yes, I do want to sell them as I have lots of stuff I bought in the sales or got free from 'Bootsing'. Thought with it being 2 days from Valentines next week I might be better of trying to flog them as a hamper.
The one above cost me about £5 to put together, do you think charging £10 is too much? Would people pay that?
Seems a very reasonable price. They're quite impressive looking Bumbles - well doneOh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. ~ Sir Walter Scott0 -

Well my mate had her yule present (she is a pagan so no christmas for her) yesterday (sorry I am not technical enuff to post pics) - my final hamper has now gone. She was over the moon with it - mainly filled with avon bath products (when there was the 5 for £5 offer on), a fancy glass candle that I have had for a long time (all I remember is that it didn't cost much but looks expensive). She was also chuffed with the hamper because the basket is not too small and not too big and she can use it on her narrowboat when she gets it back from the boatbuilders:D
Thanks to all the peeps on this thread because without their imagination I wouldn't have thought to make hampers as presents - I have now got the bug and I have boxes and BOGOFFs coming out of my ears:eek:0 -
I've been taking the Boots bargains to bits lol, and realised that if anyone bought the panettones in the 90% sale would be left with a handy tin that would easily cover with fabric or something.Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. ~ Sir Walter Scott0

The subject of what to charge is of interest to me too. I made some lovely 'Coffee Lovers' hampers for the school bazaar just before Christmas and they were a huge hit. They cost me around £15 each, including the lovely wicker baskets but everyone who spoke to me about them thought they were worth iin excess of £50! It just shows how you can dress things up to make them look so much more expensive than they really are. Inspired by this, I'm tempted to make some to sell this year in the pre Christmas craft fair. However, donating them is one thing but actually trying to make money from them makes me a bit nervous. Will be watching this thread with interest.0

Thanks for the male-orientated hampers...got a couple of movie buffs so the 'Boys Nite In' looks a good bet.
I'll probably put in some bath stuff too, cuz of sensitve skin the products I can choose are more expensive & a lot less available:o It's also a rariety to find them in BOGOFs or Bootsing:mad:Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Im very interested in making hampers too but there seems to be loads of competition out there. I think the trick is to have the edge over others, have something different and quirky!0
