Looks like I missed that one then - shame, but it's the risk I took waiting for the 90% isn't it. If I couldn't have lived without it, I probably would have got it when the 50% had started.

Our little branch of Boots is so tiny............and as its based next to the doctors surgery its mainly medicines, vitamins, cotton wool and that sort of stuff. No gift type bits at all and the nearest big branch is 20 miles away (most places seem to be round here). Still, I'm doing well with my 'unwanted gifts' given to the charity shops so far.
Next thing to do is retro sweet boxes for my teenage grandchildren for easter and something for baby grandson that will post. Eyed up the pic 'n mixes at Woolworths yesterday and couldn't work out how much I'd need of which ones.........brain got all muddled so I left it....................lol Thats next on the list though, along with making Mums day card and sorting pressie out for MIL thats postable and something for my Mum.
My Mums going to be the difficult one as at the minute she isn't really aware of much thats going on. My best bet would be a plant for her I thinkMary

The Pick n Mix is an expensive way to do it - look at the bagged sweets instead, as they are often on offer (3 for £1 and the such) - Woolworths has about the best range of them too.
For something that will post for the baby - what about one of these (I picked one of the ducks up for a 3 month old's easter pressie - they're lovely and soft - very cuddly) - http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=ty+pluffies

I saw them yesterday -even picked some up then spotted the pic 'n mix and put them back. They were cheap 3 for 1 so I think thats what I'll end up getting. Weather forecast (according to bbc) doesn't look as bad tomorrow as I'd thought so might run down then and get them plus other bits I didnt get yesterday.
Thanks for that EMMary

Hi Mary
don't know how close you are to an Asda but they also do bags of sweets, 3 for £1 or 35p a bag
can't do a link but you can look on line - under confectionery>kids.
My dd (4) recommends the cow yoghurt sweets, my husband loves the choc rasins and one of my friends boys adores the alphabet candy.

Afraid Asda is 20 miles away as well...................lol aren't they all when you need them. We've got Tescos, Somerfield and a small co-op and Woolworths. Apart from that the rest of the shops are small............they''re lovely shops with interesting stuff in.................just not what I want at the minute.
Looks like its going to be woolworths. Can't remember what assortment they''d got now but it was quite a good oneMary

Does your Co-op carry the 95p range of kids sweets? In mine it's a stand-alone hanging unit - bags of edible paper, candy lipsticks, candy necklaces and watches, fruit chews etc. Can't remember what they're called now, but the packaging has quite a bit of yellow in.
I did all my retro boxes at christmas on a combination of Woolworths and Co-op shopping - and both of mine are small stores too.

Hi. I posted this earlier but in the wrong place so forgive me if you have read it already. I want to make a 'get well soon' basket for one of the mums at my children's school who's really poorly at the moment. I'm helping her out by picking up the kids and have offered to lend a hand in other ways too but would like to make a little basket to cheer her up. I've thought of magazines and fruit but what else could I include?
