Finished baskets!!

Hi. I posted this earlier but in the wrong place so forgive me if you have read it already. I want to make a 'get well soon' basket for one of the mums at my children's school who's really poorly at the moment. I'm helping her out by picking up the kids and have offered to lend a hand in other ways too but would like to make a little basket to cheer her up. I've thought of magazines and fruit but what else could I include?
How about a puzzle book, biscuits, nice bottle of juice(full of vitamins to help recovery?) chocolates?0 -

Teddy bears always do it for me - a nice soft squidgy one - you never grow out of themYou could get one of the ones you can warm up - that way there's a dual purpose to it.

Thanks everyone. I got a lovely one put together as follows:
Latest copy of 'Red' magazine (one of my 3 for £1 subscriptions)
PS I love you book - got 2 for Christmas
Green & Blacks choc - my fave and always a few bars in reserve in fridge
Bottle of lovely apple juice (thanks for the tip)
Box of M&S biccies
Lovely fresh grapes
All nicely displayed in one of the baskets I had left over from Christmas
It looked great and much more useful than a bunch of flowers!0 -
I'm certain she'll really appreciate the gesture. How very thoughtful of you.
Oh & the book for this hour is DIY related. Can't get it for OH as he is a builder so will be dead put out if he gets that, maybe I ought to as a joke.0 -

Sorry I dont know if the link will work.MiasMommy0 -
Wouldn't think it would matter to be honest what you used as a 'basket'.
The other year for two of my friends I bought a nice shopping bag from one of the charity shops (about £2) and put their presents inside........they got to keep the shopping bag so extra pressie............lol
Choose whatever suits. I'm aiming for whatever's cheap in a desparate bid to make this year cost less than the last one. I managed to get some baskets cheap, one of my sons has a shoe box -or box of some sort - with stuff in it (in his 30's but still likes the surprise element).Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Theyve got different more girly colours and some nice ones in cream. Think I might just buy them and start "hampering". Do some for mothers day.MiasMommy0

Need some help please. This is my first time posting in this section and after being inspired by you all I've had a go at making a hamper for my hubby. Problem is, I bought the cellophane and it isn't big enough. Where can I get some thing that is wider?? Ideas??0
