Handed out my hampers to the outlaws yesterday. They just kind of unwrapped them and set them down to move onto the next thing. I had to even point out something that was in one of them before they noticed. Wont put in so much effort next time grr!

  • You could always give them to me next time Emms ;) ...I'd appreciate them :)

Oh no, I can't believe it. I remember your baskets - they were gorgeous and I would have loved them. Your outlaws are obviously lacking in taste!
  • Well everyone loved my hampers:j . especially my dad who was enthusiastic about his pressie for the first time in years. They really appreciated the personal touches that had gone into making them, will be making hampers for everyone next year definately. Just need to decide on themes for everyone:rolleyes:

Now what can I put in my easter baskets:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • does anyone think the whole hamper thing once its done its done? i have made everyone a hamper now and i dont think i could make them again
  • Hi Pap
Suppose it depends what things you put in them. My dad has said if he gives me the basket back can he have another next year - he really loved it. But i will have to think of another theme so its not just the same old stuff.:D

have already decided to do sleepover hampers for my two little nieces, an angel hamper for one of my friends, movie night hamper for brothers family, and a horsey hamper for DD. All totally different from the smellies and pamper stuff that they got this year.:D

Just thought I'd post my last hamper, which was for my sister and her OH

I've also had some lovely compliments on the hampers - so glad I did them.

I'm already having to rethink next years though as my cousin used two of my ideas this year - was going to do an OS preserves etc hamper in a jute bag - great minds must think alike as she used the bag idea and even did a preserve to the same recipe I had in mind, lol (and I haven't spoken to her about it either)

Oh well - plenty of time to think of something else isn't there, lol

  • My daughter came to tea today and brought back the empty baskets and requested <<erm....pleaded....>> the same again next year!

I think I need help because I'm beginning to live and sleep baskets. I saw a latte coloured flannel today and immediately a chocolate themed hamper sprung to mind.

Can you imagine the doctor's surgery filled with compulsive hamper filling patients seeking help??!!

Hi hampers are a great idea realy personal dont have to cost a fortune I loved doing mine this year personal favorites were 5min peace for a busy family family dvd sweets, popcorn and two small bottles of wine for the adults, for a friend and her daughters I did a girls night in chocolate, face masks nail varnish girlie pamper bits and made an envelope look like a voucher and put the money inside to rent a dvd from the library. Thank you all for the inspiration I got from this thread.:j
