decided to do something like this for my dad and step monster before even seeing this thread, havent wrapped them yet but will take a piccie when I have done it...basically it is on the theme of a night in, £14.99 wh smiths for a gift experience box thingy of 8 online dvd rentals, 2 bottles of nice wine that was half price in the supermarket, some liquer chocs and some single brandy and ameretto extras to add to coffee.
did one a few years ago for the brother and sister out law, she was pregnant and from when i found out i collected bits like nappies, baby bubbles, bibs etc and put it is a big basket as a joint pressie...got them a pressie each too mind you lol...done similar things for my daughter with make up when she was a bit younger and didnt have mega expensive taste in make up.0 -
This thread is great, you've given me so much inspiration that I've tried it muself this year.
I've only done two. The first one contains slippers, mug, chocs, different kinds of tea and biscuits. I forgot to take a photo before I wrapped it.
I remembered for the second one -0 -
Hi all. I have done all my hampers - apart from one - and they are all wrapped and delivered. Last year I managed to photograph them all and as far as I am aware they were great inspiration to others. Unfortunately this year I am using a different computer and I can't find the cable to download the camera - not happy!!
This year I have done a
gardening hamper with everything from apron to tools and bulbs
summer holiday hamper - beach towel and flip flops to little empty toiletry bottles
sailing hamper - loads of stuff for dad's yacht - both usefull and useless!!!
baby hamper from nappiers and babygrows to a bigger nightie for mum's bump and 'Dad' sock, to a bottle of bubbly and two plastic Champagne glasses for the hospital
Beer and book hamper with a 2.5 pint glass in it!
Wine and toiletry hamper for men
Bits of everything hamper for my friend which is worth loads (but so is she!!!) with everything from toiletries, to Radley Handbag in it! I love her basket and wish I could keep everything for myself!!!
If I can find the cable I will download and hopefully be inspiration for more hampers for next year!!!"Life may not always be the party you wish for, but whilst here you may aswell dance"!!!

Busydaffodil honey, I made these myself, I have 3 of these left over from last year. If they are of any use to you just send me your address and I'll post them to you for free. They wouldn't be a plaything for a little one though as 2 of them have googaly(sp) eyes.
Genuine offer, I myself have only had good experiences from ebay but it makes my blood boil to hear about the not so good ones.
The postman just knocked my door and handed me a parcel. Inside were 3 lovely chicks off Soblivion.
How kind is that!! I really want to thank you Sobvilion. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
What lovely folk are here on MSE.
