I don't very often go to Lidl as it is out the way for me but I was there last Monday and picked up two small bottles of red and white wine for just £2.35 the set. Have split them to go into two hampers. Sorry
should have posted this earlier but clean forgot about it until I saw moosetastic's list!
Has anyone any suggestions as to what I can write on a DVD hamper for my god-daughter and husband pls? They had their little baby a few months ago so I went along with this theme which I picked up from here because I know they prefer to stay in - breast feeding etc.
I have looked round and gone through the list of verses posted on the other thread but couldn't find anything that would suit a DVD theme. As so many of us appear to have made hampers like this I was just wondering what you have put on yours or have you just written Merry Christmas? Thanks.

The little one is was only 1 a few days ago.. so i had to go pink pink pink -i have tried to add some practical bits like the hat n scarf... :rotfl: although i reckon her mum will have more fun with it than scrumpdiddlyumptious - she is mad on Pooh bear
this one is for another niece.. there does seem to be a choc theme running through the kids ones -but -well it is xmas... and have managed to sneak in a britney spears perfumed glitz stick....

im in germany, and they are everywhere :T the range of choc n sweet goodies here is amazing -hence so many appearing in my hampers :rotfl: and the choc tastes good too... not the nasty cake covering stuff you sometimes get- won't confess how i know :EasterBun shhhhhh:p
they do others too... can't remember them all, but i know there were snowmen too... the number you get varies some are 4s, some 5s and some are in 6s.. for 99c -about 75p...
If you would like any feel free to PM me....
I am coming back to spend xmas / newyear in the UK..and will arrive on the 17th, so could get them posted 1st thing on the 18th... or even send them from here.. the postage would be no different as i would be posting here from the camp post office..so it would be classed as uk post...-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Oh wow! What beautiful chocolates! I love that Reindeer's face! They are superb. Think we shall all have to go to Germany next year to the Christmas markets to get our chocolates
.
My favourite still has to be your chest like hampers. They are really really nice. Well Done - If you have to bring all those back to the UK with you I presume you are coming via car or should I say truck to get all those here!0 -
Hi Lara....
Its strange as we were posted to germany for a year 4 years ago.... and i had said that i would be coming back to the xmas markets every year -the atmosphere is magical-just wish we had children.......
and then when hubby had done his full 22 years they asked if he would stay on - and we only agreed if they would send us back out herenot only do we love it out here but financially it make a great difference... no car tax, TV liecence etc and petrol works out at about 1/3rd of what we pay in the UK :T and most household stuff and food goods are so much cheaper than we are used to...
if you do ever come out to Germany... make sure you find a big supermarket..all my goodies come from there..... we even have some really nice red wine -that i got thinking it would be ok for cooking only when we tried it, it was stunning..and under £1 a bottle
Yep it is hubbies mission to get al the stuff in the car :rotfl: ..... 10 hampers/baskets,3 lots heated serving dishes for mum..suit case oh and 8 crates of beer  ..thats hubbies job.. i shop...he packs :rotfl: ... the beer is too good to leave behind.. crates of 20 x0.5 lt bottles of hubbies fave and it works out at under 19p per bottle... so its going with us if i have to sit on the roof :rotfl:
By the way..we will still be here next year if you want a parcel sending back...there is one being sent back for someone this year

:rotfl: :rotfl: Well I hope you don't end up sitting on the roof - it'll be decidely cold and very wet! :rotfl: :rotfl:
We went to Prague last year for Christmas markets but I was disappointed. Country was nice but not what I wanted. Right so it's Germany for us next year. I shall be in touch to see where we should go! Husband is a red wine freak so I think I'd have to keep him clear at that price - he would have a permanent hangover :rotfl: .
Thank you for showing us all your baskets. You have certainly kept us all amazed with the range of goodies you have out there and put in your hampers. :T :T :T Have a great Christmas and happy loading day!
Stupid question probably to ask everyone- but are both Lidl and Aldi German shops??
