Once DS2 arrives (I have to pick him up from the station), I shall be joining you in a glass of red to celebrate DDs return!
She arrived at Glasgow airport in a pair of shorts (short shorts I may add), a jumper and a pair of flip flops. If I hadn't been to pleased to see her and desperate for a hug I would have been embarassed!! Sooo good to have her back.

So glad she got back safe, enjoy xxxx

    Evening all!

Had a lovely lunch and catch up with my friend, and her lil one is now chattering away which is a big change even from last week! Got my hair pruned, might not be OS going to Toni & Guy, but I always get a good cut that I'm very happy with, so worth the money for the peace of mind!

Kids sorted the roast whilst I was out, so walked back in to roast pork smells wafting around, I had veg sausages tho lol! Was a lovely dinner and everyone seems in high spirits which is lovely.

Had a look at the maternity clothes, urgh is what I say to most of them, I don't think some are any different to when I had ds 17 and a half yrs ago! Got 2 tops in bigger sizes and both look very nice, they're quite long and cover Spud nicely! Next branch here doesn't sell maternity stuff any more, so I shall be breathing in for a bit longer lol! I had some dungarees when pregnant with ds, they were black with red and blue splotches that I think may have been bumble bees - very attractive!!!! I'm thinking that if I buy tops in a larger size than normal for a bit they will do after Spud arrives, when I hopefully start shrinking again!

Looking forward to a nice relaxing evening, no wine here unfort, but just off to make a nice cuppa :)

Just about to join you all with a glass of white or two:D after all it is Friday:beer:
Bitsy thanks I will definitely give that a try

Camelot so glad your DD is home safe and sound. My DS1 is not home until May from Oz and I can't wait:(

Mummysaver I think there is a real lack of nice maternity clothes, when my DD had our DGS 18 mnths ago she didn't buy any at all but she is tiny anyway so could fit her little bump into stretchy leggings and loose tops, unlike myself who resorted to buying a mu mu as I was so big with my last one:rotfl:

Just watching mastermind with my feet up, don't you just love Fridays with the wkend stretching out before you:j

    Evening all

Beautiful day here :) I walked to work in the sunshine - even this made me nauseous, although nowhere near as bad as driving does. I had a lift home as one of my colleagues wanted to borrow my minibus over the weekend, so another colleague dropped us both back at mine.

Day 2 of my mental health course, all in all an interesting course, but it could have been condensed to 1 day we all reckoned. My boss has asked me to help run an event for her in North Wales in May :D different age group to what I work with currently (14-16 these will be) but it will be fun, and will help me with my teaching practise too.

After work I popped to local shopping centre. I returned a dress to Debenhams, and bought another :o but I more or less got it half price due to the 25% off plus a gift card :j It's my birthday soon so I'll wear it then, and for a works do end of month.

OS wise - I've sorted bits of recycling, dinner was a freezer meal, DW loaded and ready to go on tomorrow. Need to hoover, but will do that in morning.

    Have a good evening all

donny wave to rawmarsh on your return--my mother was born there and a few of my cousins still live there--sadly the olduns succumbed to the devil drink(and fags)--my mums 81 and her numerous brother and sisters all died by the age of 55-thus reveils the divide of north south living

    Evening all :)

Woo hoo! 2 days off!! It seems like ages since I've posted and I seem to have lost track of the days.

Well, I really am on the ward from hell. Wednesday was spent sitting for 2 hour stints outside the seclusion room while the patient inside howled like a wolf/banshee continually. The rest of the patients were unsettled too, so queue lots of fights, arguments.

And so it continued with the same patient in and out of seclusion Thurs and today, until at last she went back into seclusion 30 minutes before the end of my shift tonight. It's a hard decision to make, and I was the only qualified nurse available to make the decision . I had to rapid tranq her yesterday, and these are not decisions I'm meant to be taking so much on my own.

Anyhoo - I'm being moved. I know that people will say that it was like that when they qualified, but in all fairness, I'm being asked to do things I'm not yet confident in doing, in a dangerous and volatile environment, and most of the time, I'm the only qualified nurse there when there are meant to be 2 of us on shift.

Apart from that, it's very OS here as I'm on 12 hours shift so I can't spend any money. It's up at 5.20, dress, drive, work, drive, eat, shower, sleep, repeat. The OH is still bobbing on a sea/ocean somewhere so hasn't spent any money for nearly a month :j and the dogs don't demand much. Oh, I did take up a Sky subscription, but it's half price for 12 months, so I don't feel too bad about that.

I have a friend coming over tomorrow evening, so will spend the day lazing around and reading, then Sunday is dog walking in the hills. Am on a course Mon-Fri next week, so it won't be a bad week I imagine.

Hope you're all ok - I haven't had the time to catch up over the last week. Hugs to those who need them xx
