OS Daily Friday 4th March

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Friday 4th March. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Good morning Redruby and all to follow,
Very cold and grey here this morning.
It didn't heat up much at all yesterday and looked decidedly like snow!!
The freezer surprise we had for dinner yesterday was chicken & mushroom casserole which we had with rice and was delish.
Another freezer surprise for me & DH tonight I think. Don't know if I need to have food for the visitors arriving this evening.
Congrats to DD Redruby, I hope she gets on really well.
I'd better get off to work now, will probably call in later,
Hugs to all who want or need,
Happy Friday, Cheers m'dears, Silver xOutside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

Good Morning Redruby and all to follow. Been MIA for the past ten days or so, but hopefully back for a while now. Needless to say I am a bit behind on what everyone's been up to - so have a ((HUG)) if you need one.
Woke up early fretting over finances, so have been up making lists of various accounts, payments due, etc. ( You all know!) Clearly I need to go back to keeping a proper spending diary, because on paper we should have more than enough - so where has that overdraft crept in?? Still, it's all sortable, so I'm luckier than many.
Very cold - but I noticed some time ago how light it is - so glad the dark mornings and nights are giving way to daylight again.
Second load of washing is on already and I need to get the BM on too.
have to get to church to dust later - the scaffolding is due down on phase one which will create a dreadful amount of dust, and there is a funeral this afternoon. So, need to avoid everyone getting their dark clothes covered in builders' dust at all costs.
DS back in his own place but dreadfully low again. Wish he could come out of it a bit. had a great week with him and DGD over half term, but of course that's part of why he's so down this week.
Doggies are looking at me wondering if they're going to get a walk soon or not, so best get on.
Have a good day - almost the weekend! Take care.Resolution:

Good morning all
Bright here but cold again-I think-still in bed with lappie. Going to put some washing in this morning, and then off to the gym for 11.15. Still plodding along on the Dr referral to this Active Choices programme. Hope to chat with DD on Skype as well.
OH off to work at silly o clock, left me a cuppa, Dollycat made sure I didn't go back to sleep.
Pork chops for tea tonight as they were on offer in Mr M. I fancy broccoli and cauli cheese with them.
Have a nice day.

Hello Old Stylers

Day off today, and I am up to my ears in it. My sister has talked me into carbooting tomorrow again, so I am hunting through the house for stuff to pillage. I also have an old bike of DS2's to clean up to sell, and stuff to list on Ebay and Gumtree. Anyone want a rear diff for a Freelander? :rotfl: I also want to do some gardening - the low carb and no bread is doing me the world of good, I have bags more energy than when I was eating bread every day, long may it continue
Congrats to DD, Redruby :j
Nice to see you back beemuzed.
Have good days all,

Morning all. Am absolutely freezing today and no idea why, just know that i'm dreading going outside and would much rather spend the day in bed! Didn't drink enough water wednesday and thursday so don't feel great today(please, no lectures! my "not enough" is most peoples too much!).

Morning All,
Didn't manage to post yesterday, been feeling a bit rubbish. I have an ongoing (last 5yrs) problem with a vile pain behind my ear, burning pulsing sensationj. Its not there a lot of the time but when I do get its bad. Have had to take strong painkillers the last two nights which wipe me out. Touch wood feels better this morning so hope its gone for now, had all sorts of investigations, doc thinks its nerve damage anyway that's enough moaning.
The other thing thats a real problem is my weight, I start full of good intentions and after about a week it all goes to pot, just so fed up of feeling fat and uncomfortable. Going to start again today, low carbing and reduced bread. Need to lose 3 and half stone to get to a healthy weight and I am going to do it if it kills me and it probably will:eek:. You all seem to be doing so well:T
Just caught up with the thread from yesterday, hugs to the poorlies, NicLou glad you are seeing a solicitor hun
Today will be post office and food shopping. Thank you BB you have reminded me I need to pay cheques in as well.
Decorating all done in the lounge and looking lovely and fresh, its amazing what a few roles of wallpaper can do:)
Sorry I am moaning this morning:o normal service will b resumed today

Morning All ,
Candy - hugs hun xx
Nic - sorry to be the voice of doom but never trust what someone says in a relationship breakup - DH made that mistake sooo many times when he was trying to get his divorce from his ex. Definitely best to see a solicitor, although I can understand why you might not want to. Makes it more final doesn't it? Huggles xx
Redruby - well done to DD :T
DH and I went to see another house last night  it will never cease to amaze me the conditions that some people live in! The estate agent said that they were open to offers to which I had to politely offer that the seller paid us to live there... :rotfl: Didn't go down to well, cuing disapproving looks from DH but I thought it was funny! Seriously, there were bottles of water above the loo and a sign saying, please use these to flush! Just get your loo fixed !!!!!!!!! DH is starting to stress though because of getting the mortgage whilst I'm on maternity leave, but as I keep telling him, we can't magic somewhere to live out of the blue!
OS wise today nothing much to report. I need to change the bed clothes, but that's a bit of challenge with the bump so I'll get my Mum to help me! If DH tried it would invariably end up in a barney :rotfl:
Hugs to all xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,
