I'm on a downward spending spiral at the moment....I think I am possessed by a spending demon.
Hey LA
Good to see you! What's causing the spending? Is it the 'it's Christmas and I should be spending' bug or something else? Hope it goes away soon!Leason learnt :beer:0 -

I remember when it was 50p and they put it up to £1, but this was declared illegal, and they had to revert back to 50p for years - seems like they're getting their own back now:eek:  Still it would be a LONG drive up to Gloucester to save a few pence!
I know... I think its gone up by 10p a year for quite a while now but there aren't that many years... when the hell did it jump up to many pounds?!
 Last year there was no price increase because of some ruling about vat and they were charging vat when they shouldn't or something... but now this year its going up by 20p instead of 10p grrrrr!
Can you tell we have little else to get worked up about in Chepstow?! :rotfl:

hehe its a small world westbury on trym is a stones throw (ish) away from me
i must admit the toll is really silly... loads of people work in bristol from wales but its sooo expensive
why i dont know
Ahh, cool, I shall think of you when I drive past there now
As for why its expensive... the government decided it would be a fab idea to privatise it in order to palm off the debt onto someone else. Then it was realised a second bridge was needed, cue more debt. And, lo and behold, the tolls have gone up to this ridiculous level! We are now in the situation where the governement still pay much of the upkeep - it doesn't come from the tolls - they just go to service the debt for the two bridges  And now they've found huge corrosion in our bridge... the old one... which will cost more money *sigh*
Ok, will shut up about the bridge(s) now
As I said, there's nowt much else to trouble us over here :rotfl:
And speaking of work and that... I need to be at the mall at 9 in the morning so I'd better be off to bed.

Hi there Moozie :hello:
Overdraft gone mad. Also credit card getting hammered.
For various reasons really.
It's Christmas, I've had bills to pay (yeah yeah I know - ain't we all?
) that were unexpected, had to pay BF some money back, had to replace some work trousers that I ruined with bleach (d'uh), had to get something to wear for Xmas 'do' (but luckily got that for £8 less 20% with voucher - result!)....plus a squillion other things I can't remember right now.
I feel awful. And a failure.
But, I'll keep on plugging away...no choice really!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly

Oh LA you are not a failure. We all have bad days or even bad weeks. Getting back on track and trying to recover is what makes us different to our previous selfs (or is that selves?
).
You do have a choice, to go back to just paying minimum payments, barely managing from month to month and not looking at being debt free one day. But you are here, plugging away and being helpful and supportive to others at the same time. That just makes you special, not a failure.Leason learnt :beer:0
