definitely a no-spender for me today, unless the roof falls off the house between now and midnight or something, which let's face it is unlikely. Hurrah!! I've gone to three stars too - happens at 551 posts, I was wondering when it would happen!! (yes this is really a very minor issue but I was irrationally pleased to see it anyway)0

Today is a no spender for me (I bought a spending diary notebook on Friday evening, and still not had anything to write in it - hurrah). I've just home as I had a few hours lieu time owing to me. I'm not going to let myself go out again because that will mean going past the newsagents and I will hear the chocolate bars calling...
Instead, I'm going to make myself a massive hot chocolate here at home and snuggle up with my book for a while before tackling the ironing - joy of joys!
ooopps! Fell asleep while reading book, feel rather groggy now...at least I've not gone out and spent!0 -
Managed it Moozie - First No Spend Day of the week:j :j
Going to try for one tomorrow as well:beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

No Spend Day here too. Work, casting for the Christmas play, picked kids up, home, planning for tomorrow, ironing - what an exciting life I lead! Luckily my Mam gave me my tea (and the kids too!) so didn't have that to make - shpeherd's pie, mmmm!0

Piggybanker wrote:Hi everyone
I have to spend £1.44 at the library because my book is overdue
Then I'm meeting a couple of friends for a drink because I'm 30 today! Will try to limit what I spend though, and make up for it with extra earning while I'm on leave from my main job this week.
Have a good Monday!
Piggy

rog2 wrote:Hi Moozie, glad to see you're back in your old form. I'm a bit depressed with this lack of work, and, to be honest, so is my wife. Anyway I only have £20, so that is my budget for this week.
So far, I have spent nothing:beer:
I missed you this weekend rog2. I sort of assumed you were busy with your daughter but I kept looking to see if you'd made an appearance.
I am sorry about the lack of work. Wish there was something I could do. I am sending you all my positive vibes and here's hoping something turns up very soon :grouphug:
Edit: Well done on the NSD - hope many more follow!

I've spent £9.51 on Ebay postings (so I guess that doesn't count). Oh and I bought a Cracker, Morse and a couple of those free newspaper DVD's CD's for 30p each from a charity shop at lunchtime. There are some good kids one's among the bunch so might put them on Ebay.
Total: 3.10p.
love Sas x
Welcome back and don't you dare go away again Sas!

Ok so that's £20.75 but then I did something .....spent £9 on a pair of earings. Do I need them NO, Can I afford them NO. Someone give a good kick, like I am doing to myself now!:o
Total spend £29.75 now £4.75 over weekly challenge budget already.
themaccas, you give me no choice but to send you to the naughty step! I believe 1 minute for each of your years is the norm and no cheating!
Ah no point torturing yourself over them sweetie. They can't go back anyway. Just make sure you wear them lots and get a lot of enjoyment out of them. Hope you had a good catch up with your friend.Leason learnt :beer:0 -
