no i live in bristol... dont come here... i wish i can move out :) somewhere inthe country :A

Must admit PaP - I very rarely go into Bristol even though I only live 20 miles away. I had to go there, last week, for my meeting with the Official Receiver, and was absolutely amazed at the chaos around the Broadmead site.
Also found prices very high for coffee - probably because, as a country bumpkin, I don't know where to go.

If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Broadmead is awful at the moment isn't it?!

I'm working at the mall at the mo - in Next - so I might see you without realising obviously if you're in for some late night shopping!

As for moving to bristol, I used to live in westbury-on-trym as a kid and loved it but we have lived over in chepstow for 14 years now... can't move as currently living rent free with parents ;) Mind you.... the bridge toll is going up to £5.10 in January... daylight robbery that is! More expensive per mile than a transatlantic plane flight, apparently

    Hi everyone

I've got a few days off work so had a nice day to myself today. Had a few things to do and treated myself to lunch (£6) before going for my free haircut

Actually it was a bit of an anti climax. It looks ok but not a huge change - I told them I didn't want it too short - from the front it looks almost the same to me :( Bf & daughter said it looked nice - I'll take their word for it. I was there for 3 1/2 hours which was a little bit too long but I must admit it was nice to sit about doing nothing for a change.

Doing the weekly shop tomorrow but have budgeted for that (it's not in my Sun-Fri total), then spending the rest of the day giving the house a good clean. :o

    R :)

    Hi Rarele :)

Sounds like the free haircut was not bad but very very long! Trust your daughter and BF, they can see it all around ;) Wel done on doing it anyway, it must have been nice to take the time out and not have to pay a penny for it!

    Have fund food shoping tomorrow.

Chepstow is beautiful - but difficult to justify that bridge toll.
I remember when it was 50p and they put it up to £1, but this was declared illegal, and they had to revert back to 50p for years - seems like they're getting their own back now:eek:  Still it would be a LONG drive up to Gloucester to save a few pence!
