Unknown Credit Agreement On File!

in Credit cards
Wasn't sure where to put this so put it here
I have just received an email from equifax stating i have a "credit alert". I have a capital one credit card and as part of this i have a free account with equifax to check my file and they send me emails to let me know of any changes to my credit file.
Up to now these changes have been just increases in my credit limit with a couple of cards and very minor things in general. However, i have just received an email stating 03/03/11 new credit agreement. Credit agreement type = credit card, company name = BHAP0013.
Now, i sure as hell didn't request a new credit card account and i have no idea who "BHAP0013" IS!!!!!!!!!!
If it had come up with new credit card agreement for barclays or lloyds, i would immediately contact them and ask for answers. However, i cannot find any info online for a company called BHAP0013 so don't know how i can find anything out. Has anyone come across something like this before? Or know where i can find anything out?
Thanks for any help.

just had the same email... i'm trying to figure out the last 4 digits to see if it correlates to any of my accounts...!0

I got this alert half an hour ago too - I also have a capital one card with the free equifax account. My capital one card expires next month so I wonder if this is the new card... it is not the same last four digits as my existing card but I guess they would allocate a new one. I didn't think it would count as a "new agreement" though, but will call them tomorrow to see if this is capital one related.0

Same here. Free equifax account with capital one card, but my card doesn't expired till next year. :huh:0

Glad to see I'm not the only one who has just received this!0

I too have got this alert. - I have a capital one card with the free equifax account as well My card's number bears no relation to the number given and i have no others. A big thankyou to op and others for posting.
at least i know i am not on my ownIt is better to contemplate writing a malicious comment that can make you appear stupid, than to write and confirm it.0 -
Me too!
Amazing how it is currently a Googlewhack ... the only Google hit is for this thread
Very well done of the OP to start it.
Doesn't it just show what a flamin' self-perpetuating industry Credit Reference Agencies are? They'll take any data on anyone from any of their subscriber partners no matter how unself-explanatory the data is.
I wonder what the devil it may actually be unless it is a new Barclays Egg Card in the offing ... anyone of you other Capital One / Free Equifax alerts peeps expecting one of those too? ... But maybe not for you kevrex if you only have the one card?0 -
Exactly the same alert here. Do not recognise the account number associated with this BHAP0013 company and have not made any new applications in months.0

I've got two new agreements on Equifax
BHAP0013 Credit card and a current account with a similar mix of letters/numbers
My guess would be HSBC (or HBOS)
In the past , changes to bank names have resulted in "New Credit Agreement Summary" and "Deleted Credit Agreement Summary" simultaneously Eg Alliance & Leicester to Santander
It looks like a bank that has not previously shared data has started to do so
There were no new accounts on Experian when I checked a few hours ago , although they have not updated a credit limit that has changed despite Equifax showing the new limit todayHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Having ordered a free report it appears the account number corresponds to my Opus CC account who took over from Citi card a few months back0

Same here for me as well, capital one card holder so free access to equifax, I also don't recognise the last 4 digits? Does anyone else have 1272 the same as me?
New Information BHAP0013 Credit Card XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX1272
Big thanks to Google and all on here who posted. We are not alone ;-)0
