If that's what you saw in the link provided, I'll just accept your version of the best must differ to mine.
At the end of the day, you can do what the buyers did, when ebay was riddled with sellers who didn't perform. Leave, and see if ebay change the rules to increase seller protection to bring you back.

What exactly do you see in the link provided?

The trail of an honest buyer, who for unknown (but undoubtedly genuine) reasons, is making claims against every seller? Or do you see only 4 positives and fail to recognise the 40-odd negs that the buyer has left?

At the end of the day, if you genuinely can't spot a scammer at work here, I'm afraid you are woefully ill-equipped to sell on ebay.

A seller on another forum gave up ebay completely after being fleeced by a buyer and robbed of a pair of boots. They sent the boots, the buyer wasn't happy and asked to return them which the seller accepted. The buyer sent back a piece of card in an envelope by recorded delivery and Paypal sided with the buyer, giving them a full refund. Paypal wouldn't even listen to the seller who tried to explain what had happened! Not sure if that is fraud, theft or both but it was 100% intentional.

So if you are having above average problems i'm afraid in all liklihood it will be a problem with you and your selling techniques/attitude rather than a problem with ebays seller protection.

Is that right? 100% positive feedback, 4.8+ on every DSR, my "selling techniques/attitude" must be terrible.

You do realise that an increase in seller protection will equate to a lowering of buyer protection resultiong in less customer confidence.

In what way will any of those suggestions lower buyer protection? I've heard this said a couple of times, but nobody has suggested how that will happen.

Ebay has done some good things enabling small businesses to set up and people sell things the one bad thing it has done is made people Sellers and Businesses that really haven't got a clue about retail and shouldn't be allowed to sell sweets at a Tuck shop.

Ebay is the best platform there is, nobody suggested otherwise, but that doesn't mean it can't improve. And no doubt there are clueless sellers on there, but there are also professional sellers who get scammed by randoms with no means of contention.

If it doesn't interest you, if you are happy with Ebay (presuming you are a seller), then fine, don't sign up. However you don't have to belittle genuine business sellers who have problems by assuming it is all down to their incompetence.
