Alright folks.

Another great day in the Tramp house:j :j :j
Miss Tramp's (My GF) return day was on Thursday. She was just about to ask the court for what she wanted on her decree. Then checked the post this morning (Saturday) and there was a letter from BoS in the post this morning.
The letter had a cheque for £480 attached to it(full settlement including interest and court costs)!!!!!:T
That's 2 of our claims been settled in this manner. Cheque arrives the day after return day.
Just to let you guys know. She had left BoS about 2 years ago. Still no probs getting them to pay up though!!!
Keep at them folks!!

12/03/07 got standard reply saying they are in the tc's
13/03/07 sent letter advising of possible court action
at the end of this week it will be past 14 days and no reply.
What do i do now as i cant put in two claims as they are now getting rejected but how do i go about using the FSO as i have not had an offer. If i use the FSo and win will i get back the interest aswell as alot of these charges are from early 2002.

Any Advice from any one would be great0 -
Hi,
The current situation:
I have sent away the initial letter demanding money back and gotten the response
from Lloyds: we are sorry they are that I have raised a complaint, if I have any
extra info or new info they would appreciate if I could get back to them ASAP before
treating my complaint...
Now here is where I want to take this and want suggestions.
I am 90% certain that the EU has stated that charging excessively in the banks is
not permitted and should not be tolerated. I am also aware that noone has gone the
full way with challenging the banks for these charges.
I am not as much intersted in reclaiming the charges, but I think that the banks are
a bunch of pigs with no conscience and I believe in hurting those who hurt me where
it hurts most, devious and possibly sadistic I know but none the less...
How do I get a precendense to the floodgates that Martin mentions in his epistle
about reclaiming bankcharges?
Suggestions are welcome

What is the summary clause which allows me to claim up to £1500 in Scottish Court. Have looked on CAG and still confused!! Help.0

Apologies if this question is answered elsewhere, I've not been able to find it!
I understand under the Scottish courts system that I can claim £750 a time - what happens if I want to claim more than that? Do I put in a couple of claims adding up to my total at the same time or do I have to submit them one after the other?
My other question is that the bank has continued to put charges on my account since I wrote to them asking for it back, can I add these in?
The A & L sent me a letter after I wrote to them advising that they were closing my joint account I was claiming on, then a couple of days later they wrote to close my individual account which I am not claiming on!
Any help very much appreciated! LornaThanks for the advice Martin! :money:Member no. 920 - Proud to be dealing with our debts0 -
Have a read of this website...
http://www.govanlc.com/jurisdiction.htm
and the Scottish Courts website...
http://www.scotcourts.gov.uk/library/publications/index.asp?dir=library&grp=CivilCourts&open=CivilCourts#civil
and if you want to use the Financial Ombudsman rather than go to court...

No longer advised to put in multiple claims but don't let that stop you threatening the bank with court in your second letter.
Charges can be added to your claim up until you start your claim at court.0 -
:T Thank you very much for the guidance, Edinburghlass, much appreciated! Thanks for the advice Martin! :money:Member no. 920 - Proud to be dealing with our debts0

Hi there,
I know there have been several queries about this before but I can't seem to find an up to date step by step guide to how to initiate court action in Scotland. I have also looked on the CAG site.
I have followed the process so far, but am obviously nervous about the Courts. Has anyone got an easy to follow, idiot's guide to the Scottish Court process?
Many thanks.0
