Great to hear you're back on track and feeling more postive Rachel. Good on your mum for doing all she can too:T:T.

Well, all best laid plans go to pot!:o

OH and I took the dog for a nice long walk along the canal this morning and parked at a pub advertising £3.49 breakfasts. By the time we got back to the car OH had convinced himself he needed one so we had one - mine was 2 grilled quorn sausages (I asked how they were cooked!), a grilled mushroom and tomato, beans, a fried egg (I only eat the white) and a hash brown (which I shared with the dog to minimise the syns!).

The only syns I have to count is the hash brown which I believe was 2 syns (may be more but I've been very good syn wise this week so not too worried if it is) and a fried egg (0.5 syns). So, I'm up to 2.5 syns today so far with a "free" tea to come. Not too bad considering it was surprise eating out session.

Only have to be good for 10 more hours before bed!

Skintslimmer - thanks for your post re the vitamins. I'd been taking them for about a month after my energy levels plummetted suddenly. I wasn't sure right away that they were making a big difference but i've got lots left and have felt much more tired again over the past couple of days.

Rachel - Lovely to read your post about SW lunch with your Mum. Sending you positive vibes for lots of happy times with her still to come.xx

Fitorbust - "Go girl!" You show 'em!

I was supposed to be on a very long walk with my family today, which would have been lovely as it's such a nice day here. But I barely slept last night and have had a piercing headache since the early hours, so they've gone without me. The exercise would have been good.

I've decided that green days suit me better as I miss the HEs on the extra easy and I'm not that bothered with meat. I've just made my lunch, which was far too tasty to be compliant!

Cooked white pasta mixed with 1tbs red pesto (2.5 syns), 1oz full fat cream cheese (HEA), dry-roasted cherry tomatoes - and a whole carrot, to make up the Superfree quota!

I've a feeling that the full fat cheese with pasta could become a staple HEA for me on green days!

I had a few too many syns yesterday - hormones and arguing children as well as feeling bleurghh, so I'm trying to keep them to a minimum today.

Hope you're all having a lovely day too, wherever you are!

    Good Afternoon all

Hope everyone is on the mend.....

I have been a buzzy little bee :j so far, I have cleaned all the windows - inside and out, done our bedroom and changed the bedding and cut the grass outside the front -it used to be done by the army as they aren't actually part of our gardens etc -only now they have decided to save costs and get each house to do the bit outside their house -*great in theory* BUT its impossible to decided who is responsible for which bits as the houses are in a weired layout -now I would quite happily cut right across all 3 but I know that the neighbours wouldn't do the same sooooo I now have a nice cut piece that I decided was ours -but it makes either side look even worse :rotfl: -lets see how long it is until they are shamed into cutting theirs (bet mine is cut again first) -anyhoo, thats a bit of body magic out of the way :j -Im hoping to get out for a jog this evening but it depends on hubbies ankles -he went over on it a few days ago on our last jog and its still niggling....so we shall see ;)

Well Im on my red carb curfew again and Im going to try and eat more of my syns (again) and Im trying to eat more in a morning too (hence my 3 part brekkie ) -so it should look like this :-

    lemon in hot water
    1/2 red grapefruit

    1 weetabix (0.5xB)
    125ml semi (0.5XA)
    strawberries
    raspberries
    activia
    (2.5)
    340g jacket (1.5XB)
    cottage cheese
    lettuce
    salad leaves
    cucumber
    tomatoes
    onion
    peppers
    tickled cabbage
    tickled onions
    tickled beetroot

    strawberries
    raspberries
    melon
    activia (2.5)
    chicken breast
    garlic mushrooms
    (1)
    broccoli
    carrots

    activa (2.5)
    250ml semi (A)
    125ml semi (0.5xA)
So thats 2A+Bs and 8.5syns covered -so I will see if I can use some more syns with dinner tonight (might make the mushrooms creamy )

Anyway -thats enough waffle for now
Have a lovely day all and keep at it!!!

    Hello
It's a lovely, sunny but very windy day here, so I've been frantically washing anything that's not nailed down so that I can get it on the line. I know it's strange but I find myself mesmerised by the washing flapping about in the wind. Easily pleased!!
I think today will be EE but I can easily turn it green if I fancy extra healthy extras later.
    So far the plan is:
breakfast rice with a banana chopped in it
Pasta quiche with peppers, sweetcorn, mushrooms, courgette and cherry tomatoes in, lettuce, cucumber, beetroot and some pickled onions
    an orange

and I think we'll have quorn chilli later, maybe on jacket potatoes as I've already had rice and pasta today!

Have a lovely day, hope the sun is shining for everyone x

Thank you all for the health advice re my sinusitis especially the homeopathy stuff. Will look that out if theres a next time. After waiting most of the morning for someone to get back to me from out of hours I finally got to see a Dr at 2.30pm. After going through all my symptoms AGAIN [doncha just get fed up repeating yourself ] I am FINALLY taking antiB's :j. So hopefully there will be some improvement in the next few days. Still uming and ahing wether to go to work tomorrow, will see how I feel.

Because of feeling unwell and hubby supplying food I have been totally off plan [finished the other half of the belgian choc ice cream yesterday :o] so am expecting another gain this week. Will fix myself firmly to the wagon when feeling better I promise. Just glad I'm well under target so this blip won't hurt too much [I hope :o].
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Hello everybody. I'm back at home for a few days before being off again for a short break with my daughter. Haven't been in the house for a full day in the last 3 weeks and had no time to get online at all.

I've only managed to check back over the last few posts as there's been pages and pages since I was last here.....cor you don't half rattle on :D

Welcome to whichwhydoIturn and all the other newbies since I last posted. Many of the people on this thread go to a group (although equally as many don't) so if you need a syn value, feel free to ask.

MrsM, I see you're still losing - you've been amazingly consistent throughout the last year, I take my hat off to you :T Do your family in the UK know how well you're doing or are you keeping it a secret till you come back home?

Rachel, I'm so sorry about your Mum. It doesn't matter how old we get, we still need our Mum. Mine has been very ill for several months and I've been terrified we were going to lose her.

TakeItEazy, hope you're feeling a little better now you're on the anti-b's....what on earth would we do without antibiotics??

Since the title of this thread mentions Easter which is now well and truly over, is it time for a new thread do you think?
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

I'm feeling very bloated today and have decided to go over syns for the week as well:o I think the bloatedness is last week's holiday catching up with me, (all the non-SW dinners out) although I've been back on plan since last Tuesday. My team have been promoted today so I'm having champagne even though I don't really have spare syns for it.

I'm about half a stone/10lbs from target but I think I'll be taking the incredibly scenic route. I was tempted to let DH celebrate alone but I thought 's*d it, it's my choice'.

I was reading an old magazine the other day and there was an article about different ways of dealing with holidays depending on your attitude/what stresses you etc. From memory, there was the saying 's*d it' and getting straight back on plan afterwards, the staying on plan throughout (best with self-catering) and the wise choices/flexi one so you only put on a little. I think I'm definitely in the first camp!
