Hi all.
Firstly, big hugs to Rachel, make sure you enjoy the time you have with your mum and if that means eating of plan for some of it then if I we're you i'd say sod it!!!
I've been MIA for a few days, I have been reading but I haven't had time to post! I've been busy getting ready for the wedding of the year....mine that is, not the royal one!! Yesterday was spent tidying the churchyard as it rarely gets any attention and frankly was a right state!!! Anyway, its not perfect but it does look much better now! Today I've been making the seating plan, order of service cards, table names and a post box for the cards. friday was spent making favours whilst watching the royal wedding so all in all a very weddingy weekend!!
Food has been mostly good and I've had plenty of exercise except for today when I've been stuck in crafting all day!
Soooo, today is EE:
Brekkie - grapefruit, banana, grapes, strawberries, yogurt
Lunch - large mixed salad, dressing (1), WM pitta(HEB), eggs, salad cream (1)
Tea - salmon, potatoes, large mixed salad, dressing (1), beetroot, cheese (HEA)
Syns - 1 ginger biscuit (4), milk (4)
I'm hoping to go for a nice long walk tomorrow morning.0 -
Take it easy I hope you start to feel better soon, have you any antibiotics for it? I had sinusitis a few years ago, the doc told me that usually when you get it, you tend to have bouts of it over and over after a cold or flu, but I have to say, I have never had it since TOUCH WOOD! Hope you feel better soon !
I heard that today from a friend  fingers crossed I never get it again.
I have had a relapse, thought I was on the mend. After lunch I fell asleep again [doing that a lot] I went longer than normal between painkillers and woke up screaming in pain from a pressure headache. My god I though my head would explode. Eventually painkillers kicked in and relieved the headache but even now my face is killing me
. Hubby phoned NHS Direct and I spoke to a nurse. She wasn't impressed with the walk in centre and told me to phone my Dr either tonight [if no better] but at least in the morning and get started on anti B's. I was going to wait til Tuesday but she told me not to as the sooner I start the anti B's the better.
She said I should speak/see the DR not a nurse so will do that in the morning unless the pain gets too unbearable tonight. At the moment I can't breath through my nose as so congested but blowing doesn't help, tried steaming but can't breath it in even with loads of olbus oil in it. Can't take my octrivine as only supposed to take it 3 times and have taken it twice so saving 3rd for bed time.
Sorry for the waffle am feeling sorry for myself [crying again]. I am such a wuss
but it HURTS
.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Actually... I'm a weirdo who has spent the last 2 days munching through a whole celery by itself, stick by stick! Negative calories, right?
By complete coincidence I've used some syns on a mini-pot of reduced fat houmous today and just sat down to catch up on the thread with a stick of celery and my houmous. So I'll definitely give the syn free recipe a try. Thankyou!0 -
Sorry skintslimmer:o I thought you meant you were studing until 5 o'clock today. Well done on getting the celery addiction, far better than booze or chocolate!
On the noodle discussion, I buy rice noodles from the Asian supermarket, They are syn free but lately I've been finding them a bit limp and tasteless. My current favourite with stir-fry is Batchelor's Golden Rice, it's yummy. I make my own stir-fry sauce so it ends up a completely syn free meal with loads of superfrees. I always feel virtuous on stir-fry days.;)
Today's been a little bit flexi for me but not too bad I don't think. I've been to my friend's birthday bash and it was a hog roast. I resisited nibbles and just ate loads of meat (not at all fatty as cooking on a spit had drained it) and salads. I did eat some pasta salad which had mayonnaise but it wasn't swimming in it so not too many syns there.
Today's EE Menu:
B: NAS squash, HEB Puffed Wheat, banana, HEA milk and tea
L: pork and more pork! salad and pasta with mayofeeling stuffed at the moment but will have a bowl of berries at least to keep the superfrees going

I think blowing makes it worse, I am sure I was told not to blow to hard on my nose, cos that's what i was trying to do all the time to get rid of it, but it just aint that easy, as u know! When I get a cold I have a tendancy to blow each nostril alone (covering the other one if you know wot I mean) really hard each one, and I wonder if that what caused it. So I do try and not do that anymore. so try and blow nice and gently, not to rough! You definately do need antiB's and I'd try and get them asap, the longer you leave it the worse it will get. I remember them headaches, god they are awful, I remember crawling to the toilet because walking and standing made them worse. Really hope you get to see a doc v.soon.0 -
You're right, the noodles alone won't add 10 syns, but I don't know how many you should count.
If you're looking for syn free dried noodles you need to be buying ones like this - http://www.bluedragon.com/products/noodles.aspx or http://www.sharwoods.com/chinese/products/sharwoods-medium-egg-noodles.cfm
You boil them for 3 or 4 mins. Avoid the "straight to wok" noodles, they're packed in oil.
Thanks, I have seen them sharwoods ones in asda, will get them from now on!!0 -
Hello
I've had a good day again today, I seem to be fine at the weekend but it's at work that I find it difficult to stick to the plan. I work in one of those offices where there's always chocolate, or biscuits etc and I'm ok until I have 'just one', after which the floodgates open and i'll eat until I feel sick, sometimes longer. So, I think that's the trick, to swear off sugary treats and then I hope I'll be ok.
Anyway, I've had a greenish day today:
Porridge with blueberries and a dash of milk, the rest of milk in tea = HEA + HEB
Beans on toast =HEB
Banana
Apple
Peach
quorn sausages, peas and SW chips
Activia fat free yog with strawberries and a tangerine
No syns today, but that's fine as I'm sure I'll have the opportunity to use them later in the week.
I'm treating myself to a home made pedicure tonight, sitting with my feet in a washing up bowl filled with warm water and radox and am going to try and get them presentable enough to be able to wear my new sandals to work. The bowl's a bit small but if I block that out, it's quite nice actually!
Have a nice evening everyoneSay what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -
I'm not posting at the moment cos I have a friend to stay for the week so not had much time. Had totally off SW weekend but will be back on plan from tomorrow morning

Hi All,
Could someone please pm me the recipe for the Mexican Bake? Someone in class last week mentioned it but I can't find my magazine anywhere and it's not on the slimming world site!
Thanks in advance
